BCCI and the franchises are advocating for the IPL and T20s by arguing that they bring up players for the Indian cricket team. How do they select a test player who is to be sent for the coming Australia tour from the IPL? Are the two forms of the cricket same? How India is planning to win the test series against Australia and England when so many of the players are at the end of their mental strength after the WC and IPL? BCCI is destroying the art of cricket for the sake of money making.
They worked hard to get where they are. If they need rest and if they asked for it, they should get it.
There are people who want to see IPL just like there are people who want to see test cricket. There are people who love IPL just like those who love test cricket. Why do you think you see so many fans in the stadiums, why do you think franchises can pay millions to players and still stay in business? because, it is popular and people want to see. Just because some of you think Test cricket is pinnacle, doesn't mean IPL is crap.
If you ask my personal opinion, I like all 3 versions of the game, but I don't have time to spend on both 1 day and 5 day versions. I am more than happy to see highlights or read news later about them. I would rather watch T20 or play the game myself, which I do. Would I be disappointed if Indian seniors are missing during West Indian tour? Absolutely no. Would I be disappointed if the same thing happens during England or Aussi tour? Absolutely Yes.

Your argument is like I do not have time to eat today, so I will take a capsule of vitamin for the day.

Good analogy except that I give lot more importance to eating than cricket.

Playing against a hopelessly bad W.Indies is no fun. Good the seniors are skipping the tour and I am happy they are playing the IPL, the jewel in BCCI's crown.
Lol they can think of playing IPL and skip tours...wonderful....cricket has just become a money making business for all cricketers..especially india...i dont see anyone playing for the country...if you wanted to rest why not take a break now and show your skills abroad but dhoni knows it very well...because of pawar's favors india managed to get this world cup but how wil they live up to the expectations by skiping tours..lol...very smart move BCCI....Good going keep up the good work.
