What is the need of mentioning where Yuvraj hails from?? I feel the south indians and Gujrat are feeling that the game is being taken over by north indians. Gambhir, Yuvraj, Dhoni, Kohli, Harbhajan, Raina all hail from north india. Divide and rule even in godamn sports.
If there are three friends. We decide to play cricket. One has to be a baller, one batsman and the other fielder. What will be your answer? You are no different. Batsman Sachin is unduly given respect without letting people know how much of extra training he got in batting because of Shiv Sena influence and his contacts. Even a dog can be trained to do good in something if given enough training. I am happy that India won. But I also feel that system in India is not fair. Training is given to opportunists like Sachin with influence at the cost of other players and more than that Indian tax payers. In future we should have the right to know how much money was paid to foreign trainers and which player how much of training in what. I'll refuse to be a baller even if this job is offered to be on a plate. As I said even a dog can be trained given enough training in anything. Sachin is still a human, I hope. In light of all this I am losing respect for this game. You don't care, well neither do I....
Not long ago, Yuvraj Singh was deemed unfit for international cricket, and was dropped from the team itself. The same man has almost single handedly guided his team to the WC crown. What I don't understand is why Dhoni was given the MoM award. Gambhir played a gem of an innings under intense pressure and guided the team to safety. There was no need for Dhoni to come up the order, as the Sri Lankan spinners were hardly troubling the Indian batsmen. Had he done that in a tricky situation, then he deserves the MoM award. It seems that he wanted some runs under his belt, and that he has done well against the pedestrian Lankan middle-overs bowling in the past might have prompted Dhoni to take that 'bold' decision. In reality he stole Gambhir's thunder.

He played very well. I wish he completed his century. But he is young. You were very good, Gambhir.

I agree that Gauti should have got the MOM award. But Dhoni's contribution was also equally signifacant. Let us not run him down to prove ourselves right

Gambhir played well. I wish he made a century. Don't forget Dhoni is a captain. He managed the whole show. Think big

everyone knows that gauthams inning was more critical. but you have to credit to dhoni also - for doing other stuff like wicket keeping, captaincy.. Similarly it was zaheers opening spell that kept srilanka in pressure(ie relatively low score).. But who cares , India won!
The man of the tournament should have been awarded to Sachin and Yevraj who went out on the first ball at the semi finals. In fact it was Sachin who was consistent.

wrong. yuvraj rightly deserved man of the tournament. just because he failed in one match (that delivery was unplayable with inswinging yorker to left hander) doesn't mean he doesn't deserve man of tournament, but a little fact for you in the same match he took two wickets too ! Get over your adulation for just one man, appreciate the indian team and give credit where it is due.
