It was not modi, but english cricket that started playin T20 leagues and ICL was the first one to start it, sadly on a wrong note. Modi having IPL in his mind feels like a joke, he is a good copycat backed by sharad pawar.
Dear Mr. Modi, if u think being a superpower in terms of quantity is concerned, we already are and very soon will show China the door. But if u think that some Bollywood dolls and some cheerleaders can bring about quality in sports, u r sadly mistaken. India's biggest sporting moments came even without all these, and most likely will come only without the presence of these. Milkha Singh's golden run at Rome 1960, the golden era of hockey till 80's, Padukone at All England Championships in 80, Kapil's 1983 W. Cup, P.T Usha's exploits in 1984,Rathore and Bindra recently are just a few rare moments. NBA and NFL has produced players that won many a Olympic and World titles for their countries. But do u seriously think it will produce quality results for us at the world level..? Its passion which produces world beaters, Mr. Modi, not just fashion. And mind u we are talking about a sport that has only 2 consistently top teams amongst only 8-10 nations. And still we have not emulated the Aussies anywhere near at the World Cups. Wishful thinking indeed..Mr. Modi..!

Mr. Modi has shown his excellence in 20/20 Cricket. All the best players are coming to India to take part in it. We were shunned by the world all these years, Modi in his way has made a difference. You also do something in your field so that the world will come to India for what you have contributed. Lets appreciate people like Modi. Modi has made a difference in what he has attempted. Lets all make a difference in what ever we do.

This is news to me. I only knew that S. Africa was shunned by the world till 1990 for apartheid. Far better players have come to India before and made our players piss in their pants, mind u. The problem with we people is that we have started mistaking glamour for 'quality' even in sports.

it seems u r very frustrated. You are mixing 2-3 together.. If you not understand what i meant to entertainment then you are really dumb. Entertainment from sports as we shout got excited while players hitting.. its not about movie my dear friend. You tell me why cricket,ipl,20-20 so popular compare to Hockey footbal. Its because there people not managing as BCCI managing cricket. If have gutts give them and just see how things change. recently hockey getting appreciation as other sports players and some celebraties coming forward and trying to promote. So its all marketing and management stuffs. So everything need proper management and marketing. You can just See banking system as an example.

its entertaining games.. not pure sports.. and viewers enjoy all those stuffs.. what is problem with it you by that. I think you never visited in stadium watching such game. once you visit and just see how people enjoys.. by this you only keep frustration of losing match or some ur known player not played not wel in that particular inside the stadium only and you came out with big cheers on your face.what more you expect dear

we already are world beaters in entertainment, dude. Do u know that we produce the largest nos of movies ? I guess u have only watched an IPL game in a stadium, nothing else. Being a superpower in a sport or any game in no joke man. Our hockey team just now found out ! You are taking the meaning of this word 'superpower' in a very light and entertaining way too. At the end of the day, its the result that count my dear, at the world level, not just how many people enjoyed or danced in the stadium.
it seems that organisers of this game has not a real child of their father and mother.......must be pick from road........otherwise a big slap at there first fault will not let them to this stage........come to me i will fill that gap......i will test u only for two things whether u are entitle to slaps or u should be behind bars for gambling, fraud.....etc......
You know my dear brothers..... here you all making comments against Modi... But i m 100% sure out of all commenter 90% of us will watch IPL... Including me.... though i don't like Modi....

That is the tragedy. People do not realize that they are wasting time and energy watching some 12th and 10th fails play. Ultimately these illiterates go laughing all the way to the bank. And you guys end up fighting. What a tragedy.

Dont get too jealous, abdul. If you dont like watching IPL, just move along. You wont be missed. People who want to watch IPL will watch it no matter who says anything on this board.
bigger then NBA? that's being too optimistic, i guess. proof is the shady opening night event which i saw on MTV yesterday. it looked like a dance bar.
Mr.Modi, can you please tell when India will be greater than America ?
Your IPL is just looting money in the name of cricket..the total invested in so many cricket teams could be enough to seal all the pot holes found in our streets,or to clean our cities..
If India becomes greater than America, then we should be happy if IPL becomes greater than NBA..

Dont waste your time. ultimately modi will be shot dead by the bookie gang one of these days. It always ends this way. He does not understand it is team work. He is not the only one who made IPL.
