We all know that Cricket is a manipulated game in India. Everybody wants to have a control over the money pouring in. ICL was ki11ed for the same reason. Only few M0r0ns keeps saying that IPL is brain-child of yours. We all know that its not your baby. You keep parenting some ones' baby. What a shaame M0di.
Controlling the game's growth, not letting r1val products to step in, Making Indian players to top the game( by manipulating the pitch) , ultimately f00ling 1.2 billion.people . Great job M0di.
I just wanted to see Cricket in Olympics. Then rest of the world would teach us where we actualy stand in Cricket. Cricket India will see the same fate as Hockey had seen... Pls introduce Cricket in Olympics Modi. If you really want to grow this game. and guts...

it seems u r very frustrated. You are mixing 2-3 together.. If you not understand what i meant to entertainment then you are really dumb. Entertainment from sports as we shout got excited while players hitting.. its not about movie my dear friend. You tell me why cricket,ipl,20-20 so popular compare to Hockey footbal. Its because there people not managing as BCCI managing cricket. If have gutts give them and just see how things change. recently hockey getting appreciation as other sports players and some celebraties coming forward and trying to promote. So its all marketing and management stuffs. So everything need proper management and marketing. You can just See banking system as an example.

Boss, did u not hear comments from a few people here..? They only want to have fun in the name of cricket. Dont talk of big things like Olympics here. In a game played by just 8-10 nations, of which a few just make for the numbers, we could win only 1 World Cup, 27 yrs ago. Better it does not become an Olympic sport, at least we can bask in our moment of glory till then.

People like Bala and others write whatever filth that comes to their mind on Rediff. You shouldnt have taken so much time to reply them.
They have no credibility. These are the same losers who will tune in an hour before the match starts.

I see the IPL becoming bigger than NFL, NBA: Modi
by Mukund R on Mar 12, 2010 01:43 PM

Hypocrite. It certainly is about money. By the way financial superiority makes no sense unless you support a huge social cause, consistently.

IPL becoming bigger than NFL? Huh? We can talk about it when the prices for an average ticket in the IPL championship game costs about 45 thousand rupees which is how much they cost for a Super Bowl ticket. We can also talk about it when the IPL franchises are worth 440 crores which is how much the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins are worth.
Lalit Modi is a clown.

PEOPLE SHOULD BOYCOT SEEING IPL MATCHES ON TELEVISION AS MOST OF THE SERVICE PROVIDERS HAVE BLOCKED THE TELECAST MUCH BEFORE THE MATCHES HAVE BEGAN, I AM NOT GETTING SONY, AND SET MAX ON MY RELIANCE BIG TV. NOW RELIANCE WILL ASK FOR SUBCRIBING TO VIEW THESE CHANNELS. THE IPL IS PURE COMMERCIAL AT THE COST OF PUBLIC EXPENSES.

IPL is 10% of NBA
by smita R on Mar 12, 2010 01:36 PM  | Hide replies

IPL is 10% of NBA in terms of earnings, viewers and it is increase and improve the game of players (format of NBA and other international like Olympic,WC etc are almost same.) on other hand IPL is spoiling game of TEST Player. it is only just a business and entertainment, not just sports.

you cant calculate on total population. its calculation on the followers %. As soccer is globally followed. but cricket is followed by some continents only. And regarding spoiling Test if you like that format you can go and seat and watch whole 5 days. People wants excitements not frustration..

IPL is spoiling game of Test players ? Is that why India is No.1 in Test Ranking right now ? Mind you, all the test players in Indian team are playing in IPL. Write something only if it makes sense, otherwise dont waste your time.
