Srikanth highlighted more on the injuries and tried to shift the blame to injuries rather than the selection. Everyone knows that Vijay, Dinesh Karthik and Badri simply don;t have the required skills to match the quality bowling backed by quality fielding. He shouldn;t compare Vijay to Laxman just because they are of same height. This type of tamil logic is not good for indian cricket. Also just because Badri is playing school cricket doesn;t mean he should be selected for indian team. Thanks god, he didn;t bring another tamilian A Srinivas saying that he is only 13yrs old. We have so many players who are far better than Vijay, Dinesh Karthik and Badri. I understand that Vijay and Badri are good against Bhutan and Nepal. But this is South African cricket team.
Poor Saha,Mithun got the axe without their fault.They are suprised when they got selected and are suprised that they were shown the doors. It's unfortunate that Regional feelings are playing a very big role in team selection. Initially it was mumbai lobby controlled this. Now Tamil Lobby wants to control this. Don't know how long these feelings will continue.

There are 4 players from Delhi and that did not bother you? You are worried Mithun got the Axe even without playing but you are completely Ok with sacking Badri eventhough he scored most number of runs in the game after Shewag and Sachin? If the runs scored by badri and Vijay are against bhutan and nepal..i am guessing the rest of the players have scored runs against Steyn and co? Please do let us know if there is a player who can come in and play Steyns new ball bowling.

Dude, So according to you, we need to select people from Telangana, Rayalseema, Hyderabad (Seperate state), guntur and vijayawada, because these are world class teams.. Also as per you, they need to select Ravi teja, venugopal rao (knows how to swing a bat), sarath babu and dasi prabhu kiran.
Finally, the reason India with all the talent and potential is behind in sports, science, technology, financially is because of divisive individuals like you.
Our bowlers semms in search of turnable pitch, u see these guies never bowled wicket to wicket and gave the other opportunity to hit cnturies against India, see the tour to Bangladesh, similarly Amla hit his madain Double Century here also. What the hell our coaches are doing, and see the performance of Steyn ... wicket to wicket ... and 10 wickets.

to be frank all our bowlers are looks like bangla bowlers.. they have not performed consistency in all the matches.. all the matches they won is because of batting only..
bcci should include (PIckle head & golty) )sreenivasulu reddy to team squad....he will score 300 runs & take 15 wicket in this match ....he will next master of cricket ....
u shit...go & concenstrate telugana like brutal manner....

u should know our master first match statics...not only these guys wern't scored ...our masters also can't to score...steyn has totally contrilled this match ...even if dravid & laxman were played,that match result same..india cost from our poor bowling & fielding...especially h bajji ...

Does it matter if I am or not a tamilian? Is it because you are Telugu that you have a hatred towards tamilians? Stop being a crab and join as one united Indians? Jai hind.
For people blindly stating that the issues are because of Srikanth favouring Tamil players are totally being biased and not giving enough credit to Vijay and Badri who deserve their place. By no means I am saying the selection committee blundered in the first test but Vijay was mainly selected as a opener who has good defence against the moving ball and who has faied resonably well against good teams in the matches he has played. Badrinath has been playing the anchor role for almost a decade in domestic matches and he is someone who will not flamboyant but can stay in there for a long time as he showed during his 50 odd runs in the first innings. I do agree Pujara is a talented player, but how much did he score in the warm up match ont his same ground? He made 17. I am not saying those guys shouldnt be given a chance but Vijay and Badri do deserve a chance. A look at the averages for the Ranji season score sheets do validate thier selection. For batsmen having played 5 innings or more, Dravid, Kholi, Vijay, Rohit and Badri are the top 5. So in all these only Kholi missed out. Please do verify the facts before brining in your hatred towards a region or state. Dont just say these guys should not be in, say who can replace them. Srikanth has been the slecter for the last few years and he has given chances for 3 tamilians.

Karthik is mainly selected as a reserve Keeper or reserve player who has decent experience in all forms and who can fill in many different roles. The only other option other than Karthik is Parthiv, i am sure he will get his chance. Jaffer is circumspect against moving ball. He has been tried many times and he has failed to impress. Even in this domestic season he didnt do all that well. If we are looking for the future we have to look at players who have not been tried.
