Useless batsmen and bowlers of India
by zindaa hoon on Feb 08, 2010 09:54 PM  | Hide replies

Indian bowlers are weak, sissy and slow. Anyway, not much can be expected of these vegetarians.
And Indian batsmen, with the fine exception of Sehwag, are all useless, and have inflated averages courtesy Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Indians should quit fast bowling and go back to their core strength of spin bowling. They should nurture more spinners and play four spinners in the team, instead of these medium slow bowlers like Khan and Sharma. For fast bowlers, may be they can import the test discards from Pak, who are better than Sharma and Khan.

Your super fast bowlers could not bring even a single victory in Australian tour! Better avoid Bangladesh and Zimbabwe otherwise your fast bowlers will be more exposed Ha Ha.

Not so fast - test is not over Yet.
by Talisman on Feb 08, 2010 09:54 PM  | Hide replies

This test match is more than likely to extend well into day 5.

India has nothing to loose and Tendu and Vijay ought to wait for southies to tire. The key is to keep the score board ticking. You cant keep running in all day and they will tire.

The pitch is a not a mine field or anything. Attack their spinners, see off steyn and score of everyone else.

This match will be over by tea time tomorrow, at the latest. Chances are good that it will finish by lunch.

Wake up call for selectors
by pradeep rodwal on Feb 08, 2010 09:47 PM  | Hide replies

probably its a wake up call for Indian talent searchers to look for a genuine fast bowler if they are interested in retaining the No 1 spot. and maybe the time to appoint a bowling coach, Allan Donald has shown his interest and BCCI should welcome him. We need him more than he needs us

Pradeep... You are correct. Our selectors and their panel is just a bunch of businessmen and money minded people. They don't care about making our country the best team. We have a very weak bowling department for more than 3 decades. Though we have plenty of money for cricket, we cannot resolve this issue. How much would it cost to shape a couple of good bowlers ?

Raj, infact we had couple of good bowlers in the form of Zaheer and Ishant Sharma. Include Irfan in the liust as well. Now see what mr Venkatesh Prasad and these dust bowl pitches have done to these good talents.

You are right, BCCI has to come out of its money making mentality. Why on earth, a side that has best batsmen in the world can have couple of world class bowlers. And mind you, having good bowlers in the side will only help the batsmen more. Maybe the will be more confident and equipped to face the bowlers like Dale Steyn.

Excellent bowling,
by RKrishna on Feb 08, 2010 09:37 PM

from Dale Steyn and the rest. Consistent pace with swinging both ways is treat to watch, surprisingly on the same pitch Indian bowlers struggled. Its time to find bajji replacement ASAP, he is struggling to take wickets. Amit is good when bowling fuller and good length, but he is bowling far too many short pitched goodies and batsmen cashing. Ishant too bowling far out of offstump with no bounce. Unless miracles, by the time between lunch-tea the match will be over, and the result is anybodys guess.

forget about cricket for the time being
by Maihoon Don on Feb 08, 2010 09:37 PM

be aware of the storm coming your way MNIK. It will lash you all with such a force that you will remember it for ages. Already Taran Adarsh, the favourite movie critic of all SRK haters, has given 4 and a half stars to the movie...this is firstmovie to be reviewed even before its scheduled release...so just imagine what the other critics who are better fans of SRK will give the movie and its acting...as per Adarsh there are no words to describe SRK's superlative acting in the movie...so get ready to be blown away, all you losers!!!
