Bharat Ratna should be jointly awarded to Raja, Manmohan, Sonia, new vigilance chief of the country along with ex-army chief of India, ex-CM of Maharastra and present CM of Karnataka. For coming years, this may be given to P. Mukkerji, Sharad Pawar and Rahul Gandhi. Tendulkar does not deserve for this honour.

Cricket might not give but Sachin has truly inspired many lives and taught people to be calm and down to earth

How does being a good batsman earn Bharat Ratna? Doe shis runs do any good for society? Prid eof the country is not in scoring high runs in a sport. It happens if a contribution is made to mankind. A schoolteacher does more for the country.

Cynic:
How does a teacher contribute to the mankind?
You apparently went through some teachers' rigours (guessing by the fact that you can at least recognize a keyboard)...
Yet your message shows that it didn't do you much good - either in terms of being able to think logically, or giving due respect to a person's achievements in his chosen field of life... :)

how does scoring match points in tennis and goals in football does any good for the society? It doesnt in what you are talking , but dont forget the pride , honour and fame federer , pele , maradona have brought for their counttries.

Pele Maradona represents the sport of Football.More 100 contries play it.They were Compinions of it.Cricket is played in just 8/9 countries.Pele/Maradona were God not only in their country but throughout the world where football is played. So dont even try to compare Sachin with them.Even it is very difficult to compare Sachin with Bradman.

if u c a real time cricket then u even cant c the ball itself let alone b the fast balling, the thrill that people think comes 2 them is virtual only...fully eulogised n hyped by media.... it is played mostly by members of common wealth countries which mks the cricket population 2b perhaps less than 60 crores....football is the only game which is most widely n wildly played across the whole world at its every nook n corners whether it is poor africa r affluent america....so dude now time hs come 2 hv a reality show n thinking on this unsportly sport that is game of cricket n attached moolah.....

BR should be awarded to those winning in the CWG & olympic games....they win those precious medals without much facilities and support and make country proud....they are the real heroes
Like his 50th century, most of his centuries were waste. Just imagine if he had scored this century in the first innings. But he is a great one-day batsman

Of the 20 centuries that lead to win, 10 would have been against Bangladesh, NewZealand and SriLanka(playing at home).

we are not talking about current crap jaya we are talking about sachin so please get your facts correct
if sachin scores well in 1st innings ppl say he cannot handle pressure and if he scores well in 2nd ppl say his century is of no use

So, you are telleing that 78% of Sachin's centuries have helped to India WIN or SAVE the matches.
