If they consider Dravid too old to be selected, should groom M. Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara in ODIs and graduate slowly to the tests.

Sehwag should be sacked from ODI and should be replaced by Manish Pandey or Shikar Dhavan.

Bhajji should be sacked for Piyush Chawla (who can bat a bit) or Amith Mishra.

Dhoni should focus on his keeping.

Series win

This something which I have been telling for long. Dhoni is paying the price for his politics. This man shuold be solely held responsible for India's debacle since he has been the most arrogant India captain ever. While he himself is a mediocre batsman as well as keeper, he has systematically been derailing Team India which had been built by Ganguly and continued by Dravid. Show me one talent which came during Dhoni's regime and flourished? While Yuvi, Bhajji, Zaheer and Nehra are from Ganguly's time, Raina, Gambhir, Karthik were brought in by Chappel-Dravid duo.Ishant Sharma was first inducted into test team before Dhoni took up the reigns. But see what has happened. He has almost spoiled the careers of Dravid, Uthappa, Sresanth, Irfan Pathan etc. He has been having the cold war with Sehwag from day one. It was the mistake of media that made him hero with one Twenty20 cup. Even when India won the T20 world cup, I had doubts about his captaincy since he was hardly inspirational. He had Lady Luck around him which gave him some results. Otherwise imagine someone as mediocre as Jogindar Sharma bowling a successfull last over. Never before or never after Jogi has done anything to justify that day. His bowling changes while many said were instintive, for me day looked merely as as desperate steps. But media went on harping his glory. Now the luck has deserted him, everyone can see his captaincy and his skills of politics. He needs to be rested for the betterment of Indian cricket.

Sehwag and Gambhir were non-existent...
by YoBro on Nov 08, 2009 09:23 PM  | Hide replies

...in this series. I still think Dravid adds solidity to the middle order and can play fast when needed as his T20 record shows. So he's a better option than Gambhir. I expected more from Gambhir. Sehwag's lack of ability to fire (and he usually does 50% of the time atleast) really hurt us.

good to see that you do not have expectations from anyone (in the Indian time) when you watch cricket !

INDIA LOST GUWAHATI MATCH
by Rangan NN on Nov 08, 2009 09:23 PM  | Hide replies

If one time tendulkar scores 100 another 5 games he will not cross 20's. why he retire gracefully. take the lesson from West Indian Batsman Lara. He is in peak he retired. Tendulkar wishes to be another Jayasurya to play till 40's and make india lose the game. atleast dravid would have kept the wicket one side. long live indian cricket and it charman sharad pawar the north indian lobby

:) The only place for you I can suggest is - go to cricinfo and do some serious study of statistics.

If TEN Indian batsmen score less than Sachin, and you still expect the Indian TEAM to win matches, I can only salute you as the greatest Optimist I ever met. :)

Thank God you are only another armchair commentator. :)

Dravid is another I*D*L*Y S*A*M*B*H*A*R, B*I*S*B*I*L*L*A*B*A*T*H guy who is as good as an old machine...Ajinkya Rahane, Abhishek Nayyar, Robin Uthappa are few promising players...Instead give these youngsters a chance...

as usual you missed what has been said. the suggestion NOT for Dravid to play, but teach youngsters, including the ones you have mentioned. your reaction was quite similar to Gambhir's batting today. Shaping one way to play when the ball was going the other way !
