Super Success is right. He talks about T20 Crikect, not Football. Ganguly should have done good for T20 also. He plays for himseld, and T20 is team game.

Though Mahatma Gandhi is the Father of the Nation but without Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose India's freedom was a nightmare.

Though Sachin Tendulkar is the best cricketer India has ever produced but without Sourav Ganguly, India's cricket at such high international level was a nightmare.

Ganguly

I'm not a Ganguly basher. I have great regard for him for he brought aggression in Team India. For some reason I felt dada was playing not for Team India but for himself. What he did in two days was done by Dhoni in a matter of hours. I understand that Dhoni came in when we were in a much comfortable postion but somehow I felt Dada was tad slow. Even Sachin played at very good pace. After reaching the three figure mark Dada simply threw his wicket.

What ever u felt may be countered by some Technical facts about Test Cricket(like sheet anchoring etc. etc).... but think about it in a different manner...... Look at our own lives..... Its like u have already submitted ur resignation papers & r in a notice period...... now thers a crisis in the project u were working...... 100% among us will dream of leaving a mark 4 a last time......& Saurav just did it.....the only difference is We dont atall get a chance like this (rather god doesn't give us that opportunity....but Saurav gets them and utilises them 100%)

My salute to the great Sourav Ganguly
by Vikram Laskar on Oct 19, 2008 01:16 AM

Hello Ganguly Lovers & Haters,

There is a saying "You can love him or hate him but you cannot ignore him"
Sourav Ganguly is that sort of a person. A great motivator who has immense will power and belief in himself and his teammates.
No other Indian player can make such a comeback that he has made in his carrer.
As a capatain, he was great and induced self-belief in all the junior players, who will now play/are playing for India.

Don’t be sad….Dada is very wise and has taken the right decision at the right time.
Now he will get the farewell from the team and board that he deserves, just like the Australian players get from their board.
I don’t think in the past any Indian player has announced his retirement during a series where he is playing.

Don’t be sad….Dada has transformed a team from weak lambs to fierce tigers, who can win test matches and series in Australia, England, WestIndies, South Africa, Pakistan.

The people of India will be grateful to Sourav Ganguly “The Prince of Calcutta and the King of India and THE GREAT CAPTAIN OF INDIA”

by saikat chattopadhyay on Oct 19, 2008 01:05 AM

bad fielder, worst batsman, cant play pacer blah blah blah i dunno -i still watch cricket news after all those betting controversies is bcoz of how ganguly captained india out and bcoz of the senior fab-4 the newcomers r playin cricket -otherwise they might have chosen tennis or wrestling (tat might have actually be better for indian sports though)
And apart from australians n Jaisurya-kalu i havent seen many opener play till 40 over in ODI and make a game - i miss the ganguly - sachin opening ahh -

To U Saurav.....

The more I think @ those wonderful moments at South Africa World Cup the more I feel sorry @ what this country is going to miss....... you used ur players like Nehra so well against England....where is he now??? Then in Natwest Cup final....Kaif....Harbhajan.....Ur Shirt (4 Flintoff) ...... I have stopped taking interests in cricket recently(even in this match)...... but I was elated to know u have scored a century......I saw Srikant licking his own spit today when he was asked to comment on your century.....I know u have made many to do so......but your way of doing so has forced me to admire you as a leader.....I hope India gets leaders like you in every field....... Adieu.....Champion Captain.....
