The Great Indian Circus @ the SCG (contd...)
by Vijay on Jan 07, 2008 01:01 PM  | Hide replies

Thanks to this circus around poor umpiring decisions and Bhaji's ban we've conveniently forgetten the poor displays from our batsman..contd..

Dhoni: The most useless cricketer ever. I've oft posted this point.
Has anyone ever seen the full face of Dhoni's bat any time he had batted? All he does is cross batted shots, rubbish across the line strokes.

He had graduated through the first class and division cricket yet its horrific to surmise that no coach has ever bothered correcting his basic technique.

A very average batsman- a pinch hitter at best who can at time get away with big scores and he can neither be qualified as a top notch keeper either. Although he did a good job behind the stumps...A rare performance with his gloves.

Its a real shame to Indian cricket a mediocre player of this caliber has become India's ODI's captain and the media/adverts has made a mountain out of a mediocre cricketer

Frank says:

BCCI needs Australia more than OZ needs India.
Australia = Cricket History.

I'm sure sponsors are licking their lips at the prospect of playing Bangladesh, Kenya and Zimbabwe every year!

One Ashes series earns three times more for the aussies than all seires against india combined!

Australian cricket has survived without india for more than 100 years, I'm sure they'll manage another 100 years with or without India.

Australia = history of convicts
branded as the worst country still exists. Has a guy who has admitted that he has drinking problems and is team is made of old btards at the verge of retiring trying to stick on to their so called Number 1 status which is purely out of hook and crook. GILCHRIST prides himself for being a ambassador for fair play but appeals when he clearly knows Dravid didnt nick it. Who the hell cares whether you bstards can survive or not survive we are least bothered to to the dogs who cares. REMEMBER The McGrath-Sarwan incident that truly reflects your mind set. Being a doctor I know hole in the Ozone layer can produce more skin cancer but i am thinking of coming up with a thesis that it might also make you bit cranky and loose at the top where you survive on your primitive instincts of your genes which in this case unfortunately is that of convicts

Belnho Perez, Kindly get your knowledge corrected!!! The amount of money that is Generated by the matches of Indian Team Generates, can buy all the Australians along with their Fore Families. Ashes has gone down the drains and only ashes of the Ashes remain.

Try telling that to the hordes of english who go to OZ every ashes series and vice versa. You cant buy ASHES history for all the dirty money here in INDIA. That is why it is STILL a FIVE-TEST series and there talk of making it SIX-TEST. Border-Gavaskar trophy is a money-making exercise for the BCCI.

by Vijay on Jan 07, 2008 12:55 PM

Thanks to this circus around poor umpiring decisions and Bhaji's ban we've conveniently forgetten the poor displays from our batsman

Jaffer : Is he good enough in seamy conditions on bouncy wickets?
Dravid: Makeshift opener. Okay...The wicket didn't have any demons in it. A batting heaven yet he failed to impose himself or even score decently against an overrated attack. He ate deliveries..ok..If not for life in his two innings he should've been more worse.

Laxman: Great first innings century..failed in the second when it mattered most. A failure considering VVS always delivers when the odds are stacked against the team.

Ganguly: Its shameful the manner he threw his wicket in the first innings after being set for a big score. He was unlucky in the second but considering his poor shot selection for that outswinging delivery. He deserved to get out.
Saurav..its a test match not an ODI. But these days you seem to be playing the other way around.

Yuvraj: Time to rest him against Perth and bring him back for Adelaide. A player who cannot concentrate on not so dangerous MCG and SCG dosent stand a chance at WACA. Its time to boot him out so that he values his test spot on his next recall.

During the conversations with Bhajji, Symonds was surprised by calling him Monkey becoz he knows that he is a Chimpanzee. That is why Aus complained to ICC for not calling him Chimpanzee

It is strange that aussies, who are known for these things, are now complaining, that too, falsely.
.
Indians should not only challenge the ruling, they should now beat the hell out of aussies in the rest of the series.

What about poor batting display?
by chemi forward on Jan 07, 2008 12:33 PM  | Hide replies

Well, everybody is talking about the poor umpiring & Bhajji's issue. What about the pathetic display by our batsmen in second innings? Agreed, couple of dicisions have gone agaisnt us, but still we could not survive 72 overs. We had 3 wickets and 2 overs to go, we could not survive even those 2 overs? It's really a spineless display by our Team India. I think for next match we should drop Jaffer & Yuvi and bring back Sehwag & Kartik.

Not all the batsmen perform simultaneously. you need 2-3 performances to save the game and 3-5 performances to win the same. whenever some one started performing(Ganguly, Dravid), umpires came for aus's rescue. Reverse happenned for aus. their key players were given not out to restablise themselves. absolute display of BASTARDNESS.

Hope we defeat the Aussies in the perth test. Now no umpire will dare to give wrong dicision, specially against India. We have to good chance to win at perth with neutral umpiring and spirited performance. Now we have a chance to prove that if the umpires are not bias we can defeat Australia in Australia. C'mon Team India... pull up your socks and show them what you are cabable of. CHAKDE INDIA...
