No doubt T20 was an unexpected win and good to see that young team won despite being written off before the start.(No different than what happened in 1983 when no one gave India a chance). But if the results are analyzed carefully, 3 games could have gone either way - 1st game against Pak, India almost lost (ultimately it was tie), then they nearly lost to Aus (match turned only in 18th over when Harbhajan got Clarke bowled) and in the finals it went to the wire? Had the shot from Misbah gone a couple of yards either way it would have been a boundary and almost curtains down. In such a situation would the same people who re putting the team on pedestal would be blaming the same team for lacking in nerves. Also in T20 a good innings even from one player can tilt the match as was demonstrated by Yuvraj's innings against England and Aus. In 50 over game it is totally different and not easy to keep the same level of intensity for a longer time. Hope that even if India loose to Aus in the 7 one day series, we dont bring these players down like it happened after the WC exit.
Ricky Ponting: "India is the World Twenty20 champions. We are the one-day and Test champions and as I see it we have a 50-over series coming up. So that says it all,"
S Sreesanth: "He can say whatever he wants to but the fact is that we are world champions. They can never change that. Trust me it is not going to be easy for them here,"
Ponting: "though Dhoni's men deserved all the accolades for their triumph, it has also put them under tremendous pressure in the series."...if there is anything, pressure will probably come back on India," "There is, no doubt, that some of the players will be under pressure,"
Ponting: "India's Twenty20 win was now a thing of past. They played great cricket. They deserved to come back as champions. But that's finished now. We got to look forward to the series,"
Sreesanth: "They say it is past but it is something they can never change."
Yaroon ye T20 kya balaa hai.? is it some form of cricket or something else? Sorry I dont know much about cricket, I just asked the question bcoz nowadays newspaper write much about it

I think you should go and learn what is 2020 is all about and then talk in the Forum. If you do not know the terms then you should go and check the rules, format etc.
Just because everyone is writing something it does not mean that you should also write something.

But why this game uses terms like bowl-out. Is it a very long game that players have to go to toilet in-between
RE:RE:RE:When was the T20 world cup held?

OK well in that case here it is. When the match ends up in a tie then the bowl-out is a kind of method that will enable a team to win. Something like a penalty shots in soccer.
But here is a bit funny. Every team will have to bowl and try to hit the wicket without a batsmen. It is like Eene, meene, miny types.
Very soon we will have other methods like who can eat more eggs in a min, or how many times a team can jump rope etc. Funny right.
You should have watched the bowl-out. That was the most absurd thing that I saw in a cricket game in my life time.
Sorry for the reply earlier, did not know your sincerity.

If it is a computer game than why only cricketer play it and not hockey player
Like many cricket enthusiasts I too believed that India will succeed against Aussies if they are without Glenn Mcgrath and Adam Gilchrist. 50% off now and home conditions...I am optimistic

Right said ! The Aussies must be already plotting the downfall of our young Indian heroes. Dhoni's devils must not get too carried away by officials & fans adulation or else we may crash land ! Best of luck to the Indian team in the forthcoming matches with Australia.
The T20 was of no importance to BCCI who initially disregarded it and was against its rules. The T20 world cup was not given any importance, by sending a second string team with a new captain. Seniors were rested, Zaheer was rested.
After winning, it was made another "World Cup". They are celebrating as if they actually did what they did in 1983. None of the countries send their strongest team

Stop your FUD. Every team sent their strongest unit. India too seems to have sent their strongest i.e. without the excess baggage of experience.
