1986 tied test match in Madras India vs Australia...

Dean Jones was batting and Maninder singh was bowling...every time Dean Jones hit a boundary he would ask Maninder "how was that".....

In the 2nd innings, Maninder got Deano out early and ran 30 yards to the boundary to trade insults and asked deano "how was that"...deano showed him his bat and Maninder was all set to bash up Jones when Kapil restrained him!!

McGrath Vs Eddo Brandes
by Singh on Oct 16, 2007 04:11 PM

In a showdown of best pacers of two countries, Brandes made up for his complete absence of batting skills by some displaying some great sense of humor and presence of mind.
Aussie paceman Glenn McGrath was bowling to Zimbabwe number 11 Eddo Brandes - who was unable to get his bat anywhere near the ball. McGrath, frustrated that Brandes was still at the crease, wandered up during one particular over and inquired: { Why are you so fat?}
Quick as a flash, Brandes replied: {Because every time I make love to your wife, she gives me a biscuit .}
Even the Aussie slip fielders were in hysterics.

Colonial mindset of Indian journalists
by on Oct 16, 2007 04:10 PM  | Hide replies

Ponting is able to make these remarks only because our servile Indian journalists fall all over themselves to ask him his opinion of everything and everyone in the Indian team. This is a sickening trend that stiill persists after over 50 years of Independence. We still are dying to hear what the white man thinks about us. 90% of the questions the Indian journalists ask visiting captains are about their opinions of Indian players, Indian strategies and Indian selection policies. All to get some controversial comments that make good headline material. Naturally an astute captain like Ponting is not going to let such an opportunity pass. The fault my dear Panicker lies with the journalists and their inferiority complex.
