GANGULY should be Rested..
by Surag Singh on Nov 05, 2007 11:26 PM  | Hide replies

It's getting more and more clearer on DADA cricketing Skill
Can't Field - Dropped 3 Catches in the game.
Can't run Between the Wickets - Proven again..
Can't Bowl-With his mid 60 pace, he will be killed in Indian Conditions..

Score 30 odd runs again in the game at Strike rate of 70.. He will be rested very soon..

Whenever Ganguly failed India lost
by suman das on Nov 05, 2007 10:55 PM  | Hide replies

In 27 matches in the year 2007 Gangulys statistics look like below :

M Runs H.S Avg. 50s
27 1070 98 46.52 11

When Ganguly could not score a descent one India has lost except 1 match (miracle win by Karthick & Zaheer Khan in 7th ODI against Australia).

What this suggest ? It suggests that Ganguly is still the back-bone of India in ODI

Whenever Ganguly failed India lost

Suman Das,

Correct your stats. Give the strike rate also. More importantly, remove the runs conceded by him due to sloppy fielding, useless running between the wickets and idiotic judgement of runs (Converting 3 to 2 and 2 to 1).

Do all this and give the stats. I am sure the average would be less than zero, with a strike rate of minus 70. ha ha %u2026.

did you watch the game? with the ball staying low and varible bounce , you expect a strike rate of 100 plus? Even Yuraj and Dhoni had strike rate of 80's. Ganguly messed up by getting himself runout, but he still his job of getting a good start. Also with Sachin getting out, it was time to consolidate, and not play rash shot. I am no Bengali nor I like Ganguly, but he did his job as a batsman. No comment on his fielding and running between wickets.

Mr Gupta ,if you want comment, comment with facts and logic.

Mr. Ajoy, How many openers or 1 down players have strike rate over 74 (not 70) in World cricket with an average more than 45 ? Reply with statistics and logic only.

you can't start bang-bang-bang while you are opening.

Ever Since he returned back in the team, Gangu has the worst strike rate in Indian Top order. His fielding is pathetic and so the running betwwen the wicket. Why not give some youngster a chance..
