Whatever goes up has to come down.
One should never forget that.
Accept it gracefully

Let's put it this way. Not a question of coming down but somebody else just going a notch higher. The phrase 'sky is the limit' amply justifies the conquest of the kiwis. just shows what confidence on oneself can achieve. Being lesser mortals in the world of cricket , lets learn a thing or two from the aussie neighbours.

Kudos to Kiwis !!
by Ian Chappell on Feb 20, 2007 05:06 PM

Well done archrivals !!

But mates..Aussies will be totally different team in the word cup..

Giving full repect to kiwi's performance I must say it does make a difference if u r playing without half of your key players, Aussies will bounce back in world cup..
but yes there bowling is a matter of concern now after the hammering kiwi has given..!!

Amazing Kiwis
by Ramesh p on Feb 20, 2007 05:04 PM

We cannot afford to take the victory cheaply since big Aussie guns didnt play this game. The successive victories of kiwis shows that they are also in the prey for the coveted cup

Other Countries nolonger get intimidated by OZ bowlers
by Mi lor on Feb 20, 2007 05:01 PM

Australia loose this match because of the bowling. it means that the Kiwis and south africa and Engand are no longer intimidated by australian bowling. I mean Australia batting is still the same whether they are POiting, Hayden or gilchirst. Haddin in place of Gilchirst is still a formidable. Their bowling attack is Very good _ shaun tait is similar to Bret lee clocking 154 kmph regularly. Mitchell Johnson and Bracken are still much better than any of the Bowlers produced by other countries. But the only difference is other countries batsman are giving the bowlers back instead of letting them get intimidated. When these countries play Australia if the Oz punish their nowlers they get back at them. About Subcontinent countries(except Srilanka) the less said the better. A bowler like Mitchell johnson who get regularly thrash by kiwis get a haul of 5 wickets against India. A crap bowler ike Andre nel tormented India and Pakistan batsman during the recent African tour. Even West indies and Srilanka does not get intimidated by Oz and african bowlers. Chanderpaul and gayle belted the oz bowlers. Sri lankan batsman get thrash Kiwis in Kiwiland. Indian and Pakistaan batsman are just FLAT TRACK heros palying in HOME CONDITIONS. So Australia despite their loses are in a much better position to win the CUP than India or Pakistan. I would say that the semi finals possibilities among 8 countries will be (Australia/Srilanka/England/ WEst Indies ) any two and South Africa and New Zealand. India and Pakistan out in the second round.
