CRICKET WIN
by mayank mehrotra on Feb 20, 2007 06:10 PM

The thumping win of New Zeland over Aussies shows the uncertainity of Cricket. It proves that it is not the game of MASTERS , but a game to be played with mind on ground. The one who plays good is bound to win . Aussies are no doubt the best team right now, but Kivis were better on three days.

Dear mates..!

I have gon through many messeges here..
I am only talking about those guys messeges who starts jumpin considering Aussies downfall and daydreaming about world cup considering others performance...

Mates yes I agree that Aussies downfall is a good signs for India..but if u see the other picture with being stay nutral u will see the truth...

The picture now for India is they have to now cope up with THREE exilent teams..

1. Proud Southafricans

2. Wonded Aussies

3. Sky high confident Kiwis

So India now has to make not only solid strategy for Aussies & SA but also against BLAZING KIWIS also..!!

well done,kiwis..
by vaisakh parameswaran on Feb 20, 2007 06:00 PM

by beating Aussies, the Kiwis had sent a strong message for the other nations taking part in world cup. Their win also proves that by playing against Aussies, the team's standard of playing will increase.England is another example.

More boosting for all cricket playing nations
by SANJITH CHANDRAN on Feb 20, 2007 05:48 PM  | Hide replies

More than a decade Aussies over ruling cricket world n from 2002 onwards they are positioned top of the table. For the real spirit of the gmae n for making the game more competative others have to proove that Aussies is not unbeatable .
But we should not forget that Aussies is not playing with full squad. So Aussies will be back in world cup in full blast.

And both Kiwis and England send messages to rest of teams that Aussies is unbeatable.I ma expecting replay of 2003 WC final in this world cup also.Australia vs India

Hope for the best.

This is nothing, when Mcgrath and Warne leave(warne gone already), Australia will be a very ordinary team! There will be a shakeup in the world order and probabaly India might become the number one nation and dominate world cricket for the next 3 to 4 years.

There was no game plan actually. This win is an example for the confidence of the Kiwis.
Especially McMillan, McCullam, Fulton and Gillespie.

It is indication for aussie's team that they are not favourites for world cup and also they are not in number 1 postion always.

The Kiwi win
by Jaganniwas Iyer on Feb 20, 2007 05:20 PM  | Hide replies

If a strong Australia weren't bad enough, New Zealand have served clear notice that they're serious about their World Cup quest. With the South Africans looking fit, able and hungry, and England always capable of springing a last-minute surprise, India's chances of laying their hands on the bacon are, quite frankly, remote, though incorrigible optimists, a self-serving media and feudal interests in the BCCI and the cricket establishments - that includes the cricket mafia - will be as busy as ever in selling a near-impossible dream to millions of gullible public. After we crash out, it will be time for the next cricketing fnatasy. What else can a nation, intoxicated on this nonsense, do?

After convincing victories over West Indies and Sri Lanka, you are still so pessimistic? What makes you think so poorly?
A batting order that has Ganguly, Sehwag/Uthappa, Dravid, Tendulkar, yuvraj, Dhoni and Karthick can send shivers down the spine of every bowling attack. Arre yaar, you should have seen Shaun Tait and Mitchell Johnson agauinst NZ, they are seriously poor!!
If an ordinary Peter Fulton can take them to shreds, what will Dhoni and Yuvraj do to them??
And mind you, they are supposed to be among the better attacks.
In every department India are extremely strong! Whether it is batting, spin department or our medium pacers. Our medium pacers may not have the speed of a Bond or a Akhtar but Zaheer and Munaf can be steady and accurate and agarkar can be incisive though he may go for runs.
The only department where we may be lacking is fielding!!
Except WI, India will gobble up every other opposition in super 8.
