It has become fashionable for chappel supporters to blame those who criticise chappel, that he is being criticised due to skin colour. If thats the case even john wright would have been criticised. But he is not being critised. The disucssion is about chappels ability not colour. Chappel dint take indian cricket anywhere. He left it at the same place it was when he took it. What change did he bring in indian cricket?? I am not saying he was a bad coach. He was an ordinary coach just like john wright,kapil dev, sandeep patil etc.They couldnt make indian cricket better. Statistically ajit wadekar was the best coach, when no of matches won out of the number of matches played is taken into account.

Chappel did no such thing.He was pointing out some plain truths which hurt.Ganguly was good,but with Dalmiya backing became arrogant.lost his touch.A litle tap has brought him back.Karthik,Raina are for the future.Batting number 3 by Irfan has helped him retain some confidence when his bowling rhythm went.Tend has only now begun to reconcile himself to a more steady role.So this Chappell bashing is pure white skin bashing after he has gone and nothing to do with cricket.Maybe he was a bit blunt being Australian,but does not show him up as bad.Sorry get objective

Mr karteik u said he left indian cricket at the same place from where he took it from, i believe this is not accurate. When he took the responsibility india was champions trophy champion and finalist in the world cup. The team was doing very well under sourav and john wright. When he quit india was a real losser in all forms. He not only broke the winning combination but also sacked sourav from the team under whoom india was playing exceptional cricket. John wright i believe was the best coach for india. He and sourav work really hard for 4 years to lift india from no where to the runners up in the world cup. I can say chappel was the worst coach india has ever had.

hey guys take it easy. the best thing is this is the best team performance from the team who were out of the WC. India is on the verge of winning a series for the first time outside the subcontinent and the best thing they are beating england in their own backyard. This is a LAGAAN effort.
