Just for today kumble is the bats man. he is better than the paper tiger and record holder tendulkar.
Kumble not out 110 in 192 balls tendulkar our at 82 in 192 balls
The truth is tendulkar is burried by his own records. Dravid could have avoided this situation by declaring the innings at 550/8 stage not allow kumble to tumble tendulkar

The stupid problem with some of these Asians is they compare within the team instead of comparing across teams. When A-Rod sucks its cos hes hitting 300 compared to say Ryan Howard or something. Why do you compare stats of players within the same team? Its a pointless exercise. Different players are geared for different roles. I dont understand why you arent satisfied even if India comes with a series win. Dont you ever think team India? Btw when Kumble was batting England had given up, when Tendlya was batting they were still in the game. Theres a huge difference and for someone who never played cricket like you it might be a bit too complicated to udnerstand.

tell me what is wrong with tendulkar first, his hip, his fore arm, his knee, his ass.
In my opinion, the millions of asses follow the tendulkar kept him flying other wise the hype could have died long ago.
when six players crossed the half century mark, why only kumble converted it to a century. what happand to the tendulkar who made so many centuries.
kumble made 40 runs in 166 balls if the fours and 1 six not counted.
tendulkar made 38 runs 181 balls.
dravid made 15 runs in 93 balls
jaffer made 5 runs in 40 balls
ganguly made 15 runs in 72 balls
sreesant made 5 runs in 26 balls
lakshman made 11 runs in 69 balls
the truth about all this players there fitness is at rock bottom. all these veteran oldies is the stand on the crease for a loose ball from the bowlers and in this process the use the body to stop the ball. they can not see a way to place the ball to make a single or double and make the score move. lousy scoundrals in best way to tell about them. they prolong the innings in such a way to make it as a draw rather than play it skillfully and enjoy the game. It makes the spectetors to frustrate. This is no sportsmanship.
Now better understand the cricket, the way it supposed to be played in really spirit. calling some one fool is easy. The way Indian cricketers play the game is the lousy shit. When they are not fit to do fielding or batting the should opt for retirement then hanging on the crease for meaningless records

This is ridculous. You guys are mad. Evry now and then you come with for/against statistics about Sachin/Sourav. It is a great thing that Kumble played a memorable knock today and it was genuinely good inning. But, you can't look at the numbers and decide which is better. In that respect one can argue Dhoni's knock was the best. The most important thing is everyone played their role (which is a very rare thing) and Sreesanth's 35 are very useful as well. Sachin played when India quickly lost 2 wcikets and we definately required 500 score. So, he had to play patiently and more importantly he played when the ball was new and Sidebottom was really bowling very well. Later on Dhoni played a very entertaining knock that firmly placed India. After that Kumble had nothing to loose with flat surface and softer ball, he only had to keep playing. He really got very good support from zaheer and Srisanth. What really matters is we have a huge score now and may not need to bat again.
Kumble has always been all substance no hype... He has won more test matches for India than anyone ever. Still, he has always been overshadowed by his overhyped and lesser deserving colleagues... Kumble is a fighter in a true sense and deserves all the accolades.. Today's century again shows his sheer will to excel inspite of all odds.. Hats off !!!

And have you ever found Sachin to be not humble? Dravid? It is you (we) who have made them superstars, and that they've remained humble despite that is to their full credit.

Well said! It is the fault of the commercial adwallas they did not give Kumble a serious look in arlier. Thank god they did not! Bach gaya India.
No doubt Kumble's contribution to Indian Test Cricket will be ever remembered in Indian test history.
I clearly remember when he was selected ahead of Murali Karthik in Aus tour in 2004, there was huge cry about his inclusion and Karthick should have been selected in his place. Well, he has proved why Karthick cannot be compared to him. Century in test is just like icing on cake. His critics still says he cant turn the ball. I wonder how and why does it matter at all. with 500 wickets it doesnt matter if you bowl fast or slow, as long as you take wickets.
Tribute to Great Bowler!!!!
By any margin Kumble is the best bowler India has produced in Test Cricket (Without any hint of doubt better BOWLER than Kapil Dev)

Indeed kumble is good bowler India has ever produced. But comparing Kumble to Kapil is not fare, both were good in their type of bowling. My opinion both are the best and remain best of Indian bowlers...
