Blame vs Accountability
by Shyamvallabh on Dec 08, 2006 05:41 PM

Its very easy to sensationalise or distract just with the use of semantics.

I hold Chappell accountable for the decline of our cricket, We all know that he has had all his fingers in all the pies that are there to Indian cricket, his involvement in unprecendented.

He was feared by the BCCI officials and players alike as his fame was overwhelming, unfortunately, that is our undoing.

He never had a focused plan, forget a Plan B, to guide India into a Professional and mature team.

100% of the responsibility for the current state of affairs lies at Chappell's doorstep.

lacking aggressive attitute
by rajookumar on Dec 08, 2006 05:40 PM

I think our players are not playing with right attitute. They have lost the aggresive attitute.
Now Saurabh has joined the team and he should be given more responsiblity to boast his confidence as well as teams' confidence .
Only he has the winners attitute.
We always have been defeating before our real defeat.
Chappel has been a good cricketer, I am only saying him to give back my own team India, who dares to fight any team in the world, give back the aggressive attite of team India.
Boast their confidence before going in field.
say in the dressing room hoooooooooo....haa...........India.........aaaaaaa.............yaaaaaaaaaa India.

by nethaji Lakshmanan on Dec 08, 2006 05:27 PM

our team is performing very bad in the recent past, there is no use of blaming chapell.team has to be reconstructed, otherwise it will be so easy for everyone to guess what will happen in the worldcup 2007 for india.

we can beat even the newbies too.

Chappel
by Sanjay Suri on Dec 08, 2006 05:15 PM  | Hide replies

I strongly believe that Chappel came to India with a plan to destroy the strong Indian Team who were actually a real threat to Australian team in the next world cup.

The best way to destroy a strong group is to kill the leader which he successfully did.

Now he also has been successful in generating confidence in only a few selected players resulting in lowering confidence of others and spreading groupism within the team.

He has achieved his objective but unfortunately BCCI can't understand this simple gameplan of his OR
they do not want to accept to have committed a blunder by signing a contract with him.

Poor performance by Indian cricketer
by DR BRIAN on Dec 08, 2006 05:13 PM

Mr Niranjan Shah is a quite soft spoken gentlemen but
he should understand that there are quite a number of Indians all over the world who understand Cricket
a bit more than :STAR TV DARBAR: a pharse episode.I feel pathetic for Sandip Patil who is paid just to make a personal presence and the Star TV expert goes on making analysis as if he stand next to Great Sunil
Gavasker in experience. However,Mr Shah a great player
is not always a great Coach. The problem with Mr Chappel is his ego.He elimineted Saurav Ganguly not becouse of his cricketing merit but becouse he is a
very different Leader who would exert his own views
irrespective of Chappels liking or not which Dravid
is not.Graig Chappel wanted slaves and not masters.
Saurav Ganguly along with Wright made a confident
motivated, proud TEAM INDIA which Chappel and Dravid
destroyed.Dravid is perhaps one of the best batsman
India have ever produced may a bit ahead of even
Sachin but a very poor Leader to motivate and exert
best out of any player.Mr Shah that is the difference
Mr Chappel played politics but he was here for CRICKET.This is the problem Mr Shah.

Yes Chappell is liable
by Dr.Debaprasad Dev on Dec 08, 2006 05:00 PM

Yes Chappell is liable for very bad performance of Indian team. In fact it is chappell playing and not the Indian team is playing. He is the successful dictatorship coach in Indian history by outing Saurav Ganguly who was the spirit of the Indian player. It is no more in the indian cricket. Chappell should removed. If he is removed politics from Cricket for instance will go

madness
by sean dsilva on Dec 08, 2006 04:49 PM

It is shameful to ascribe india's performance to the coach . instead let's try to learn frm australia how to go abt playing cricket and also radically change our mindsets as regards the game.
