I think sacin needs little more time to come out of his new role being anchor at one end. I feel he could be even more aggresive than he was in the past, only thing he has to change his mide set. I wish him luck. Sachin U R Great. Come On. You can do it. Beat 34 - 100's, 402 in a test inning, & 200+ in a one dayer. All the best we are with you. Be more aggresive.

The best of Sachin is yet to come

I agree with Mr.Sunil Gavaskar. The best of Sachin Tendulkar is yet to come. Tendulkar is quality personified. This man has done a lot to make his countrymen happy. Even after he has changed his approach he has been scoring runs. What about the others? We cannot play cricket with Sachin at both ends!

Where is the real Sachin

Tendulkar is only human. Our expectations are high. Even in the current series he had aggregated more runs than many players and rightfully deserves a place in any national team. Sunil Gavaskar is right! Sachin would rediscover his best form without raising agony of his fans. How soon is the question?

Tendulkar's steady technic

I think Tendulkar only told that he wants to play the role of anchor, but it never pays off.Whenever he plays like a cool customer india looses. Had he not played hurricane innings against pak in bangladesh while 315 india would not have come close the score.Again his attacking innings against pak in World cup enabled india to win the thriller. Whenever he plays like bombay bomber rest of the team follows. From his recent inings and the result he himself should realise the role he should play in the india team. The Asia cup is the latest example.

Sachin

I feel it all depends on how much practise he gives on daily basis.Since most of the indian cricketers are becoming busy in advertisements. They will never realise this fact. Even they are thinking that they are doing their job of playing cricket and by which increasing their properties and bank balances.
Sachin and rest of the team should play for country and should give practise accordingly.Without practise they will never achive their targets with teams like Australia.Otherwise sachin will remain to score centureis against Bangladesh,UAE etc and with teams like Australia he will endup in scoring 25 to 30 by facing 50 balls.
Regards,
Murthy

i think it is media who is behind tendulkar`s failure in finals, they have pressurised him by unnecessary blaming for non-performing in finals, they should watch the replays of 1998 sharjhah final with australia when steave waugh was the captain of aus.

Mr. Tendulkar and his ostensible ways
by Vidya on Aug 06, 2004 02:52 PM

It was not the LOSS in itself which rankles the Indian fans, but the manner of defect. Its amply clear and common sense that while chasing targets, the first step is keep a healthy run rate above the required, if not, atleast abreast with the reqd. rate.

Time and again we see Indians while chasing making a Mountain of a molehill. Also, undue respect is given to good bowlers. If at this level, you can't play and score off GOOD bowlers, you ought not play and bring dishonour to the country.

Coming to Tendulkar, let me ask a few questions.Have his other contemporories eschewed their flyamboyant innings. The ANSWER is a BIG NO. Jayasuriya,Inzamam, Gilchrist,Hayden would never give up their natural style till they CALL it a DAY.I am not sure if Gavaskar understands this,or even if he understands, is tuting Tendulkar to go his way,i.e. for personal milestones at the cost of the TEAM.Its this propensity of Tendulkar which is costing the team dear.

No doubt he is still India's BEST bet, but as long as he lives in the facade of maturing bcoz of which his approach has changed, India will SUFFER.

Nobody is indispensible,if one does not perform, however good he maybe, show him the DOOR.

I agree that Tendulkar is struggling to get good one day innings in recent times since he has experienced several injuries. Why I can't our BCCI think about sending any aggresive player to open with Sehwag. We need big scores in first fifteen overs. As I observed, nowadays, tendulkar is struggling to make big scores in first fifteen overs. Of course, he has done a great job from last fifteen years.

Secondly, our players are not aggresive in final matches when they r chasing. Mental preparedness for chasing in finals is not enough for our players. Something to be done in facing final matches.
