sachin will be immortal!!!
by shashank on Aug 06, 2004 04:57 PM

come on guyz there has to be a limit to an argument when people say that sachin is not a match winner i feel pity on those who comment.where did his 37 centuries and 69 fifties go dint they add up to the team's total,a great player becomes legend with the support of many people.

for example if schumacher is winning almost all the F1's credit not only goes to him but for entire ferrari unit.similarly where is the support to Mr sachin accepted that in the last 1 year or so younger lot are supporting but not constantly.

why doesnt the same question be raised on Mr ganguly whose performances are not even close to expectations

cricket afterall is a team sport and whatever sachin does will be a part, lets cheer the master to come up with many "match winning innings"(as everyone puts it)and keep the critics at bay.

let me wish the master blaster all the success and hope he will remain as the legend(which i think he already is!!!)of the mordern game

I am trying to find agressive sachin but not able
by rahul srivastava on Aug 06, 2004 04:49 PM

Yes,Sachin has lost his nick as well dedication to win the match by himself only.Sachin is my favourite all time and always love to watch play him.whatever is going on from last 1 year that Sachin is not coming as a match winner this can not be acceptable for me but this supposed to be true.

I want my three year back Sachin.

Sachin, come with your original game. Please do not make it Hanky-panky with the cricket.

Hi,
THough the fans have accepted the fact that sachin is after all a human ,what is surprising to note is the inability of the Board and selection committee to develope professional courage to axe even players like Sachin when need be,unfortunately they show thier courage on minows like Parthiv and Other new comers who have had less exposure and are afraid of touching big tickets like Sewag, sachin even Ganguly for that matter inspite of their repeted failures.
Nair i hope u are listening...

Who Cares Now....??
by Nimish on Aug 06, 2004 04:23 PM

"Whats wrong with sachin??"...Couple of years bak , It'd have been a trillion dollar question and would've given nightmares to his tormented fans across the nation . But now , though many would still disagree , Hes no longer the pivot of Indian batting And though reality bites,Sachin is definitely not the same and i think he has past his prime . I feel he himself should judge whether hes changed for good or bad ,But I dont really sight this chanage in his approach helping the team. There are questions about him not performing when the tean needs , To that I can safely say that when he plays nobody realizes the need!!....The most important world cup match(for Indians!!) against pak...the last test against aussie at sydney...even the final of Asia cup...Hes not doing that badly . Of course , its easier said than done , And moreover the kind of standards he has set...Its impossible to live upto that . Personally like his every die-hard , I'd love to watch the Stellar-Sachin once again.

Dont want Specialist bowlers
by Jameen on Aug 06, 2004 04:21 PM

2003 World Cup. India vs Pakisthan - The same Agressive Tendulkar is still in him. Now he is beleiving more in Team effort and if the other batsmen can share the burden, India as a team is sure to win more matches.

In Asia cup finals, he picked 3 important wickets in the finals. Bowled his complete 10 overs. Batted superbly, but no other batsman managed to rotate the strike. I really dont understand, why there's a specialist bowler in the team. Sehwag and Tendulkar can bowl better than Harbhajan and Kumble in one dayers. We dont need a specialist bowler, we can have a batsman instead.

SACHIN SHOULD CHANGE
by Madhusudhan N on Aug 06, 2004 04:18 PM

I agree with the remarks on Sachin's change of attitude towards batting in the recent times. I think, there is no reason why Sachin should shelve his attacking instincts giving the reason that Seniority and age has brought responsibility which is reflecting in his batting in the form which others are perceiving it to be slow.

But, the basic fact is that, Sachin is never the same Sachin of old who used to bring on Nightmares to the bowlers of the class of Warne, McGrath, Saqlain etc.,

The advent of Sehwag has somewhat brought an unexplainable fear within Sachin which has made him to graft for runs rather than scoring in his imitable attacking fashion.

Unless Sachin reverts back to his old aggression self, he will lose the respect and the status he has gained over the last 15 years and it takes few seconds to break the pot which takes a year for the pot maker to manufacture it. Sachin should take this seriously and should play his old game.

Sachin, come on.

where is te real sachin
by manu on Aug 06, 2004 04:12 PM

It's not that sachin doesn't have the capability to score like he use to score in 1999.Now his role is changed in the team.He has to play mature inings rather than just hitting and that is what he is doing.
