Fareed Zakaria- another empty suit and smooth talker without substance. He shows it is so easy to fool Americans.
His famous article just before Iraq war when Bush was asked to ponder before jumping into fire, I am paraphrasing- 'if you have taken the sword out, you have to use it'--urging Bush to war. And the consequences are here for everyone to see. Now he kind of plays with words that he was not for the war---yada yada yada..
Now he comes on CNN and public television--well they deserves him.

Sameer so you mean to say Bush went to war because Fareeds one article? He wasn't the one who authorized the war. He is indeed smooth & sharp with different view points. Can you please tell me as to when the decision was made to go to war In Iraq? If you follow politics here you would know the right answer.
Its not Fareed Zakarias understanding of the world its about us watching different opinions on variuos current affairs in the world. Also, Can you please mention any other program may be excpet BBC and PBS(NOW) that covers Global Perspective on TV in USA? We cant be fooled so easily.

Good for you that you are learning stuff here .... Jindal converted when he was in High school .. he must have liked something about christianity to do so. He wasn't forced with a gun to do so.
Religion is a personal thing ... your faith is totally yours and it's your choice ... we should respect everyone else's faith.

Bobby Jindal's faith is his personal preference. There is freedom of religion in the US as it is in India. Jindal converted when he was in High school .. and no one held a gun to his head to do so.
He is a catholic, he believes in catholisism but he has never spit on Hundus or insulted Hinduism. Never!

You are a funny guy, Loan Shark- Yes, I admit Jindal's himage to jesus is not my business- But it is a fact that he does not want to be associated with Desis. So much so, he did nothing about the 3 Indians students murdered in his own city. As a Governor, he could have shown some interest.
By the way, I am wearing a dhoti, and yes, somewhere in Andhra and typing this away... perhaps from a warehouse, which coounts for the good 'information'...?

Of course you cannot expect him to be surrounded by desies all the time... he is the gov. of Louisiana after all ... he cannot just appoint a desi to every position in his cabinet ... can he?

In your logic- if a guy leaves his mother and adopts another lady as his mom, that is not spittingon his mother? Same logic applies here for casting Hinduism away-- that is to me like spitting on all Hindus.

1. I don't have any connections to find and speak with Jindal's parents .... besides, I have no desire or see any commanality of interest with them old people.
2. Switching mom's is different. Even though Lord Krishna had two mothers ... he did not mean disrespect to his biological mother.
Adopting religion is different. You and I folow Hinduism because we were born that way .. we never applied our mind to anything out there which can be better for us ... it's personal ... Jindal found his place in catholisism and he joined them ...
Jindal has never insulted Hindus or Hinduism ever. has he?

Yes.Jindal applied his mind well and embraced the benifits that comes with converting to catholisism. Why do'nt you also apply your mind for a better thing like him?Afterall who's stopping you? But do'nt try to preach others about what could better for them.
