McCain and his Bible-thumping Republican cronies will covertly bomb a city in USA in October. All of a sudden, McCain will be popular as a war hero, and republicans invariably will win with a threat of terrorism- end of story.
Remember Iran hostage crisis- Reagan made a pact with Iranians not to release the American hostages until after the elections in November. Reagan won over Carter, became popular, now is he considered next only to Jesus- God like Reagan who slept on the job, sent 300 marines to their death in Lebanon, gave canned Hollywood speeches, now he is God.
This is democracy in USA- and Bush want to export democracy to other countries.

How much ever interesting your story is, American democracy is 100 times better than the sham democracy in India where people dont have any rights and are treated as second class citizens in their own country.
For your information, Reagan was also instrumental in ending the cold war in America's favor and improving the economy. I will give American people more credit than that. I am sure they will choose the right person for the job.

You watch too much of CNN teevee. Land of the free- with no rights to Habeas corpus and 2 million in prison. Thousands in prison on framed up charges. Many getting released after languishing in jail for decades for the crime they never committed, thanks to DNA tests.

LOL ... you are sofa king ignorant that's it's not even funny ... DNA testing came recently, not some 20 years ago when some of these were sentenced to life in prison ... then comes DNA testing and court determines that witness testimony is not supported by the DNA results ... so, they are let go. At least the court system works in the USA.

these are all conspiracy theories ... the election results came close in Florida and so all these made up theories of people being turned away from the polling station ... if someone goes to the wrong poling station, they ought to be turned away. You just cannot go to any polling booth and cast yr vote. Bush won fair and square both the times.

Yes but these 200 years have also worked in USA's favor. Democracy may not be the perfect way of administration but its the lesser of known Devils. At least, people are responsible for their own actions and have a chance to correct the course of it, the way they will do it in these upcoming elections in US. If autocracy worked, Pakistan would be way ahead of India by now. Regarding China, it only lets you see what it wants you to see. Huge swaths of Chinse rural areas are poverty stricken and have no access to the world audience. Democracy at least let you see the reality.
