Democarcy for people
by VB on Jul 18, 2008 04:48 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

The experience of IT, auto, textile and services makes us feel that N deal is one such thing that we need in future. We people believe that democracy will bring things for the benefit of people and country. The people are watching what all goes in the process also.

Do you think congress/commies/BJP will take the country forward? You should remember one thing that congress is responsible for this entire crisis. Though India has got lot of intellectuals in world still India is far backward in technological capability. (refer WIPO world intellectual property organization statistics). These so called Harvard education economists are good at do business. They will sell the India at a great price. They don't have good vision to take India forward. India means not few billionaires but it is majority of poor who is in hunger. Government should concentrate on providing affordable quality life to poor at the same time concentrate on building technological capability of India. Further it will lead to provide better livelihood for all. Technology is the only way to provide good education, health care, safe water, food and everything today. Not just attracting third rated IT jobs/BPO to India and spoiling the powerful youth population.

you are a big fool. India was extremely poor in 1947. You have no India how British looted our country. You are a nobody and so you can criticize. What India has achieved in 60 years is much more greater than any other country. You should know that India was written off by everybody in the west in 1947. India had no money, no roads, no electricity, no enterpreneurs, no big cities etc. Harvard economics theory works if we have capital, without it how are you going to kickstart the economy.

exactly,
these guys comment so easily without knowing anything. Just because they go and write some code for some faltu US companies in US and India, they think US is mentally superior. To become prosperous is hard-work and it takes a long time.

A bit awkward this, having to write at length. I guess you missed the irony in my statement!
We have potholed roads, our cities get flooded
today, the way they never did in 1947.Outside Mumbai, even cities like Pune face power-cut. Incidentally, Sify carried a news report today quoting WHO that a full 1.2 billion people in the world do not have basic toilet facilities. And 625 million of these are in India, who are faced to defecate out in the open. That is the gift of Congress. Ignore the basics, and shout about a nuclear deal that won't make an effing difference to people's lives. Except, of course, the Maino family, the AEC bureaucrats, our 'Industrialists', who will be waiting to lap up the crumbs that American nuclear companies will toss out, the Samajwadi Party and sundry others.
Oh, as for money, how many middle-class couples can afford to buy a decent 2-bedroom house in a metropolitan city. Baki logon ki to baat hi chhodo.

Dont say number 3 is higher than 2. In developments see the rate. I think you don't know what is happening in the world. You are too optimisic. you may be better sales man. Please visit WIPO website and come with statistics.

fun guy,
you are a big time joker. The rate of growth in US in last 200 years is just 1.7%, that is the key. Being free for a long time and able to decide our destiny on our own. You know what happened in 1960, there was a big famine in India. But this time around Indian government airlifted foods. That saved lives. Whereas in all previous famines, Britishers allowed us to die like flies. Indias literacy improved from 6% to 11% from 1900 to 1947 whereas from 1947 to 1994 it improved from 11% to 55%. You are a fool and you do not know how economics works. I agree US has a lot more R&D and they are more prosperous etc. But you forget the importance of time. India is free for 60 years only US is free for 200 years. FREEDOM is of essence.

rna ,
Japan started industrializing in 19th century itself. The key point is they were free. So they were able to apply industrialization in 19th century itself. Do you think an agricultural country would have been able to wage war in diffrent parts of the world and hold it for so many years. Japan set up all the bases in 19th century whereas India was getting massively looted by British in 19th century. Indias education system in late 19th and early 20th century was geeared towards producing clerks.
