This is a classic example of respect & friendship to his former captain Vaughan by pietersen as he stood by Vaughan during his difficult times. Good show by this English Cricketers. They have earlier showed exemplary courage & conviction when they returned to play in India after mumbai blast.
Indian crickers should learn from them. when Chappel (former Indian coach) was hurling disrespect, insulting the most successful captain of India no body including Sachin or Dravid or any senior players speak out on favor of Saurabh. They remain mere spectators !
Why not then India go to hell ? its not only politicians to blame, we all are to be blamed for the system.
today another bomb blast happened in Guwahati, what anice way to start the year...will it be a year of blasts !!!

Mr Kar, all we indians should be learning is how to win more matches in the future, and i believe we have a strong team, a cool captain and a potent bowling attack, our fielding can still go up a notch though, and who said that sachin and dravid would not have spoken anything about that issue- its not that it never happened if it does not come in the papers. And the bomb blasts - well that is a big issue, i think you are right there, we all should stand up tall t fight against it, starting from choosing the right people in the government - Lets Vote.

saurav ganguly played enough politics. it was no secret that he openly sided with dalmiya. whe dalmiya's equations changed with pawar - we know what happened. so why drag in tendulkar, dravid or others ? wasnt it saurav's fault that he played politics, or was pretty close to dalmiya ?

...hmmm, where do we start with.
coterie of young players - exclusion of senior players other than himself. this led to the senior players protecting their ass post chapell days.
chapell was good in a way that he ditched the quota raj, IN TANDEM, with ganguly. not all of his ideas were bad. however, when sauravs own form went bad - he completely went in the opposite direction of chapell. this is where saurav's coterie of young players helped him.
when saurav was ousted subsequently , and the chapell fiasco - sachin knew the mess he was getting into, so he opted out, he fully knew that he's not going to get his team, like once before. dravid is pretty much a lame duck, he was a lesser version of sachin and was clueless about the ways the regional bias and team dynamics/ politics moved, he followed chapell, and had a raw deal in terms of team co-operation. the last straw was when saurav refused to accelerate in a match - a match against bangla, which we lost - due to slow run rate. of course people would say why not the rest of the players do well - thats the mess saurav left behind in the wake of his ouster. worse still - dravid himself was not doing any good with his batting. surav could force a form by playing slowly, those days he was completely out of form, but he played slowly and accumulated runs - just to prove he was in form.
tragically, that slow innings of saurav came at the worst possible time - not during a test, but during a crucial world cup match.

if you could stop hurling abuses, and start explaining how dalmiya was behind saurav's ouster, then, we'd get somewhere.

Indians have enough fights going on all the time...dont encourage any more fights and transform Indian cricket into W Bengal..fighting and squabbling and protesting..enough of that garbage..Sourav's time had come and he had to go..no loss to Indian cricket as there are far more exciting players waiting in the wings to replace aging superstars. Let look to exciting times. I would take a Yuvraj to Sourav any day.

How true... Rahul Dravid has been a great player... but a very bad humab being. He was always a selfish person. When he was the captain, he didnt want to speak to Sourav, instead he said big things like people with right mental frame should be in team, etc. But when Rahul was in a bad patch, Sourav always came out openly supporting him. Rahul may be a better test batsman than Sourav, but in terms of leadership and human qualities, Rahul stands nowhere near Soutav.

thats bullcrap. this is the crap always given by begal and saurav fans. saurav's form was unsustainable, and the very leadership he showed in bringing in young lads, was used by him to support him despite his woeful form. what happened with greg chapell was for all to know. no one really knows the inside stry. one thing's pretty clear that dravid has never in his career spoken out or played "politics" like the brand used by saurav. for better or for worse, ganguly's brand of politics harmed him when the going was not good for him. and ganguly fans cant digest it, and blame dravid for his woes.

Dear all
Please dont spend too much time over sports. Let it be just sport. And why u peoplpe are abusing each others for cricketers. whatever happens they'll get their share of money. And they are doing their jobs well too. Or is it possible that by supporting KP, Sachin, Ganguly or Dalmiya, we can also make some money?.

Tell me why Sachin has to go. Show me the numbers. If you know about cricket, you won't say that. Sachin adds a lot of value to the team. He is an inspiration in the field. For Test cricket see the following numbers: Player Total Avg SR Gambhir 1134 70.9 50.8 Sehwag 1861 56.2 85.9 Sachin 1063 48.3 57.1 Laxman 1086 47.2 50.9 Yuvraj 261 37.2 61.4 Vijay 74 37.0 55.2 Ganguly 783 35.6 54.8 Dhoni 633 35.2 52.5 Dravid 805 32.2 38.6 Badri 39 19.5 44.8
