Normally paki army open fires at indian posts to provide cover to the infiltration and divert the indian army's attention from the infiltrators entering india.

We should expect some more terrorist activity. The intelligence beureau must be tracking this.

CALL AN EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE NATIONAL SECURITY COUNCIL
by bharatbarsha on Jul 28, 2008 10:19 PM  Permalink

Political parties are instruments to serve the nation and leaders are made to fulfill those objectives. There was a time when these basic premises were considered with utmost sincerity, now NATION IS OUT OF POLITICAL AGENDA. SEE THE PLIGHT OF SOMNATH CHATTERJEE WHO WANTED TO UPHOLD THE PRESTIGE OF HIS OFFICE, THROWN OUT OF THE PARTY BY A COTERIE WHO NEVER WON AN ELECTION. Such leaders are born everyday in all political parties, leaders are being engineered, cloned as per needs of the party, not nation. What could be the possible fall out ? After long interval someone like Omar Abdullah spoke like an Indian. Good job. Most of the leaders are dependent on the party to meet up their lavish expenses. Many of them made huge palatial houses, garnered enough bank balance in foreign a/c, put up soft faces to manage their business. There are certainly exceptions who strictly adhere to value system and they are small in number, these guys should join hands together across party lines through various platforms, may be informal ones but should be assertive enough to be heard. Immediately, a meeting should be convened By THE PRESIDENT to call the military chiefs, CJSC sc, PM n sr cabinet members, leader of opposition and national parties and ask them to work together. At the time of emerging needs President needs to transcend constitutional barriers and her voice be heard. So far she is doing a good job, tried to remain free of controversies and earned a respectability across party lines.

border firing
by ramchand on Jul 28, 2008 10:17 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

i just heard the news that it was NOT firing from across the border, but firing by pakis within INDIAN TERRITORY. about 15 paki troops walked WITH A WHITE flag indicating they want to talk to the post commander. after coming inside indian territory they exchanged verbal arguments and suddenly opened fire on our jawans.,killing one RAJPUT jawan.this is atrocious and to be condemned by the entire world. white flag is a symbol of peace or temporary ceasefire and firing with the white flag is against GENEAVA convention. our defence minister,if he is worth his salt, should strongly take up this matter with UNITED NATIONS and disgrace pakistan for this,. simultaneously ,some indian petrol can "accidently" loose way, and may stray into pakistan territory for a shortwhile.

Take Revenge
by Mukesh on Jul 28, 2008 10:16 PM  Permalink

India must take revenge of our soldiers death. Army should cross LOC covertly (if not at same location then at some other location) and kill atleast 10 of pakistanis. That will be a fitting reply for their misadventure.

Hizra Shivraj V. Patil (born October 12, 1935) is the Union Minister of Home Affairs in the Manmohan Singh government. He belongs to the Indian National Congress party. THIS IS RIGHT FROM WIKIPEDIA!
