the common man can be put in jail for being totally innocent... a bollywood star can commit any crime on earth and be treated as if he's innocent.

Law books and the constitution were written by politicians. Most of the politicians are from law back ground.

Judicial system
by JGN the Atheist on Nov 27, 2007 03:37 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

There was a famous lawyer called "Mulloor" in British Malabar. People of that time used to say "if you have Mulloor and Rs. 1000 you can commit a murder and get away scot-free! Our Judicial system has not changed much in all these years. We are still following the laws enacted by the Colonial masters!

IN SAME STROKE

a old woman in sixtees has been denied bail for only crime that she kept a bag for half an hour from some known person, not knowing what it contained.

But SD is granted bail for illegally keeping illegally pocured dadly weapons !

What a "Hindutva" justice it is ! (BTW, Hindutva, going by Honoable court's historic position, is a way of life of tolerance, etc, etc !!)

Well managed JUSTICE!
by Krish Koundy on Nov 27, 2007 03:07 PM  Permalink

I do have a soft corner for SD. I love his films and his style of acting. I hoped that he would be proved innocent. However, no body is above law. If he was proved guilty, he must face the sentence. Please recall, the urgent meeting of his sister Priya Dutt with Sonia Gandhi, after Sanjay Gandhi was convicted by the special court. Soon after that things started falling in place Sanjay-this bail order included. It is very clear in the last few years that Sonia and ilk have started influncing the judiciary. Sanjays case is symbolic, but imagine the impact of Sonias judical exploitaiton on the social security of the country.

no, no. SD will get away with it. spotlight on him will ensure that he's not let off lightly. more spotlight, more pressure on judge not to deviate. let him be punished normally acc. to the rule of the land.

Never in the history of India a rich person or a prominent person is punished by our courts. So i hope if you are Rich enough or come to India commit a crime depending upon the money in your bank and get out freely...Bigger money bigger crime..it happens only in India.

Ok..so doing a crime, and not running away is rewardable !

May be - going by Modi's example - doing a crime and glorifying it is more rewardable... as we all see for ourselves !!

Let us be all reminded that an old lady in sixties has been denied bail whose crime was that someone told him to keep a bag for ah hour or so...and she had no idea what it contained. !

But judges deemed it fit to grant bail to one who knowingly illegally prcured AK47, kept it hidden, and then illegally tried to destroy it.

Is it Justice ??? any answers

we need SD to be punished normally like any other citizens. these are high profile cases that create an impact on the minds of people. if such people are punished normally like any other citizen, the other criminals will fear punishment. let SD suffer his consequences of the crime committed.
