With due respect to Kalam Saheb, reply is a political one, Kalam sahib was aware about the mercy petition of Afjal through media, public and many controversies of the issue. He would have asked at least the information/clarification from the concerned Mindistry, What is all about?

Gadha hai kya re manoj mehta. In constitution there is no provision to ask for the papers. Why did he give the papers to home ministry? To discuss, view and return.......... correct? That is th provision in law. Now it is Home ministry's duty to return the paper to president. When it doesnt return to president, He cant ask for the papers as he wil be in the confidence that these are being viewd my ministry concerned. Samja kya......... LOL

yeah right, he should have asked, and the ruling party would have given it to him on a platter ? is it that simple ? he's not a politician even to play games with those seasoned ones.

I fully concur with you. Unlike the president of USA, the Indian President has no power to decide such issue on his own. The recommendation of the council of ministers has an overbearing effect. There are instances where bills returned to the goverment for reconsideration and retransmitted without any changes to the President. Under the provisions of the constituion, the President is left with no alternative but to give his assent. This is to underscore that under the present consitution, the council of ministers/parliament is supreme

right Mr kishore...what we see is just the piece of ice...
If Kalam thinks he is popular and fit for public life, leave alone the office of the President, why doesn't he make this explicit and contests for MP from Chennai.
People would fall over each other to vote for him. He can then contest for PMship in parliament.
But I know he wouldn't do that as he knows he can't win. He would contest only if he is sure to win and no other party puts candidate aganinst him.
Obviously, He has excuse for everything.
Some would say that an honest man can't win an election. I agree that there are people like Advani, Vajpayee, Sushma Swaraj etc. who win election solely based on goondagiri and money/muscle power. But on the other hand, there are people like P. Chidambara, Mani Shankar Aiyar, Late Sunil Dutt etc. who win election just because of their abilities and clean image. So this would be just another excuse form Kalam and his fans.

I think your a big moron...no offense mate just accept it...we wont laugh..promise. You are expecting ex-president to fight for MP election ? Is'nt that preposterous ?..itz like asking Narayan murthy to secure a job as senior software development in Infy after retirement. On the contrary, If APJ do stand for an election..it will exhibit his crave for politics n power. and that would fade away the tremendous respect and love he has earned from this nation. Try to think before you speak.

Thambi amma sold TN totally to her concubine Sasikala. U r one of the beneficiary. Why do worry about selling India to Chineese and Pak and Italian. Be a Tamilian First and redeem it then we will talk about India.

No probs. TN's case is comparitively harmless as it is sold to another Tamilian, whereas ur amma is selling the entire land to outsiders.

Why u skipped the delay by Home ministry. President can act only after getting home ministry's recommendation on cases related to internal security. He might know that its not going to come ever from this Italian Kingdom.
