Are you trying to say that India should assault Pak for its well known support for terrorist support? Do you really think that this will completely stop attack on India? No, we should approach this problem in a holistic way.
I agreee whole heartedly with the views of the author. I was a volunteer in 1972 on the Indo Bangladesh border when we went to war. We should have taken Lahore then, we chickened out. I also agree that the massive display of tanks and missles is pointless. Even now, let us cancel the order for submarines, fighter planes and air craft carriers and buy weapons for the police, set up elite SWAT units, get electronic wire tapping and listening devices, video monitors across the stations and public places with control rooms. All these will go a small way in preventing such outrages. Finally, where do the terrorists get safe refuge? I think it is in the millions of illegal shanties and hutments. If we do one thing today, let all parties pass a bill to abolish and demolish all illegal hutments and encroachments on public lands, TODAY. Clean the scars on the city and the scum will vanish. All of us have a chance to vote in the Municipal elections next year, DO NOT VOTE for a party nominee, find an independant from your constituency and vote for her/him. Let us have a corporation of wise people.
i agree that pakistan is the root nation behind this.we have to fight pakistan in different way. for 2 years- give subsidies in medicine and export to pakistan. govt to heavily invest in share markets of pakistan. give all the food items which it imports from other countries even on subsidies. sell heavy machine equipments on subsidised rates.
then stop medicine supply. sell all the shares. stop food supply. stop all supply.
along with it don't respect any of treaty like- water treaty shimla agreement flaunt treaties and make big dams let him cry and use them in opp way during summer and winters ie draught and floods.make him feel ur need
I know that U Mumbaikars are United (always) coz U don't have borders with anyone(hehehe)..but what about those people who stay Near the Borders??? just think about them ..I strongly feel that we should end terrorism and widen our area by re-occupying Kashmir.
The much hyped 'spirit' of Mumbai is a myth created by media and politicians. I feel Mumbai is a dead city. There was no anger, no anguish, no sorrow on the faces of people when they were interviewed. Mumbaikars go on repeating that Mumbai remains uneffected and thats what precisely the terrorists want. When there is no backlash, no punishment, no 'revenge' taken, these terrorists are bound to enjoy the situation and attack again and again. This is what we have seen in the past. Whenever there is a terrorist attack, there are a lot of local guys who help them. Once these local guys are made to understand that after helping the terrorists, they cant go scot free, the situation will change automatically. Take the example of Gujarat. After the Akshardham attack, there was no single attack on the citizens. Why ? Because the local contacts of the terrorists know that if they support any attack, they wont be spared. If Mumbaikars keep on offering their second cheek for the second slap, the will be obliged again and again by the terrorists. This has happened in the past and it will go on in the future. MUMBAIKARS....ITS TIME TO AWAKE
its high time india wakes upto the need of the hour and instead of indulging in a political blame game does something concrete. we have to take a strong stance against terrorists and deal with them in the most strict way possible. we are and shpild be ready for the war also if that is the ONLY option left.
another Terrorist attack on Mumbai. for what we have developed the missiles?, for display on Republic day !. It is high time, kill the enemy . It is our problem why to take consent of others, are they solving our problems or helping us. Take the example of Israel they are attacking Palestine and leaving no stone unturned to defend temselves
A tooth for a tooth; an eye for an eye; should be the motto. One should know when to use peace and when to war! Till the time India, rather the government at the helm, understands it, the people of the country will continue to suffer.
I, for one, is a staunch believer that this will not go for long... a day will come when there would be a great revolution against the so-called democracy that we keep bragging about.
