Judas
by Savio Figueriedo on Apr 07, 2006 08:05 PM  Permalink

Judas was a human being and hence liable to make mistakes and sin. There are various probable explanations regarding why Judas betrayed Jesus. Some say that he as the "treasurer" of the apostles group was dipping into the till. Others that he wanted to take over the group. Whatever the case if Judas did not betray Jesus then there would be no crucifixion, and no resurrection and hence no Christianity. Everyone has a role to play in life - some positive and some negative so that we do not repeat the same mistakes. How far better are we than Judas?

Jesus the Saviour
by Anup on Apr 07, 2006 07:47 PM  Permalink

The theme of the gospel is - "Jesus the Saviour" and not Judas the betrayer. The role of Judas is only incidental. All of us make choices and Judas made the wrong choice and suffered the consequences. Man has an insatiable desire for sensational news and there are people waiting to become famous by digging up the history of famous people like the Lord Jesus. Whether Da Vinci code or gospel of Judas, while man's intent may be to belittle the good news, what they dont realise is that God has the power to use the sensational controversy to further the knowledge of Lord Jesus, so that people who have not yet heard about the Lord Jesus will have one more opportunity to hear and be saved. This is the HIS-Story of Lord Jesus from the the time, time itself was named after Him in the year of our Lord - Anna Domini - AD and BC - before Christ!

Judas is a traitor for ever
by James Varghese on Apr 07, 2006 07:33 PM  Permalink

There is only one Gospel. Judas betrayed Jesus, no doubt in this. Judas was trapped by Satan. Jesus knew earlier that HE would be betrayed by judas. So there was no need for Jesus to make a private conversation. In the present world itself, there are lot of examples where satan is trapping people and doing anything for the sake of money. Also, I would like to add, knowingly Philate also betrayed Jesus. Knowingly he cleaned his hands to show all that he doesn\\\'t know anything, though Philate realised that Jesus is innocent and the King.If Philate wished Jesus would not have been physically tortured. Otherwise Jesus would have never undergone such a death which this Universe had not witnessed, yet. That is why JESUS is living today and will live FOREVER. With a heavy heart I add, \\\'today also many Judas are living and betraying Jesus Christ Our Lord and Saviour\\\'. Those who had worked for claiming Judas No Traitor are also another forms of Judas. Let none be misled by this work of satan. Victory is for Jesus only.Thanks. cvjameskulanada@rediffmail.com

Be Alert

It is indeed a shame that a prestigeous institute such as the National Geographic has done such meaningless research to create confusion not to clear it. But we must be not be unaware of the reach of the enemy.

God asking to sin?
by Ravi on Apr 07, 2006 07:30 PM  Permalink

The bible so clearly says that God can never make some one to sin then how can Jesus ask Judas to betray(sin) him ? Bible has also been warning from the beginning that false doctrines and teachers would come so that they can stop people from knowing Jesus as God. One who reads the Bible regularly, this is no cause of consern because he knows what the truth is and what the deception is.
