The theme of the gospel is - "Jesus the Saviour" and not Judas the betrayer. The role of Judas is only incidental. All of us make choices and Judas made the wrong choice and suffered the consequences. Man has an insatiable desire for sensational news and there are people waiting to become famous by digging up the history of famous people like the Lord Jesus. Whether Da Vinci code or gospel of Judas, while man's intent may be to belittle the good news, what they dont realise is that God has the power to use the sensational controversy to further the knowledge of Lord Jesus, so that people who have not yet heard about the Lord Jesus will have one more opportunity to hear and be saved.
