MAMATA SHOULD UNLEASH HER POTENTIAL TO CREATE A NEW BENGAL
by ASHMITA on Sep 02, 2008 06:07 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

Why is this senseless roadblock ? Yes, I am referring to Mamata Banerjee's Singur Siege. Even by miles this is a strategic blunder. West Bengal till date remains intellectual capital of India where millions of young Indian minds are awaiting to grab opportunities and create wealth for the nation. Tata's exit wll be totally counter-productive to Buddha's efforts to make WB, an investment-friendly state. My apprehension is if WB can not stand up to the expectations of Young Bengal, we may have to see the re-emergence of a radical political philosophy that recapitulates '71. Hope good sense prevails over Mamata and she uses her enormous potential towards creating a New Bengal. MAMATA MEANS COMPASSION WHO NEEDS TO PROVE THE WORTH OF HER NAME AND HELPS MILLIONS OF BENGALEE YOUTH TO UTILIZE THEIR ENORMOUS BRAIN POWER.

by biswajit on Sep 01, 2008 12:53 PM  Permalink  | Hide replies

u r a half educated person. n it is very dengerous for ur soity. How u hv dicieted all lands r fartile ? r u frm singur? m frm singur area .apart frm 985 acors(project) land only 10 % is furtile. 90% of land r not furtile like othrs furtile land of Bengal. yes if u r saying to compr wid d land of Rajasthan,Gujrat, Maharastra c.t.c it will be correct. unfortunately or fortunately 99 % land of Bengal is furtile. it is true.

Before TATA 's project d land cost was Rs. 5.00- to 7.00 lac per acors on d high way side but now its price is Rs.54 lac per acor . n it has been sold out to d promoters. pl note dat, all lands r very furtile land dan d land of Tata project. Why Mamata Banerje is scilent abt dat? if fermer get lend can Mamata give any gurnty dat fermers dont sale dis land ? I think no. She knows every thing abt it .She is a cheap politician .

they have every right to get fair price for their land. grabbing land/ be it fertile or not, is immaterial. What is the market price and what is being paid to farmers. Farmer's need not sacrifice their land for fulfilling some one else's dreams. but this must have been sorted out differently. Langauge is a means. Affected parties may know or may know not know. That is unimportant but be fair to them.

Ratan Tata has doesn't have the moral rights to talk about protecting employees and blah...blahh... His company TCS was the firt to bring in new defenitions of Bonded Labour concept in IT companies... First to withhold employee PF's ans sue them when they resign at onsite. Declare emplyees who resign as absconders to show lower attrition rates.....Lying to the USCIS on L1 visas.....You are no inspiration atleast when it comes to your TCS.

This is not a fair comment. I was with a Tata IT org and resigns recently. I can say nothing of this sort happens. It's some of our fellow collegues who are not ethical and does not follow the rule.
No org will want to to train employees just to see that they are increasing their market value piggybacking the org and then running away for better deal. So, bonds(plz, learn the meaning of bonded labour first) are a fair deal. It cannot always be one-way ticket.
It is true that Tatas are low payers, but thats for all their segments and they make it up with lot of other things. I know of other IT companies who are much more ruthless.

Why did they desert (disappear) in the first place..where are their ethics..Why is it only companies that are to blame..companies only reacted....they should have sued them for breach of faith and loss of business

Bullshit! Most of the IT guys act like prostitutes and desert TCS only bcoz they hunt for and get better 'deals'. No Company will spend lacs on their employees and expect them to run away. Would you?
Simple: Join only if you accept the terms. You are free to join other Companies. No bars

Mamata Banerjee is the enemy of the small farmers
by Dipak Bose on Sep 01, 2008 07:51 AM  Permalink

Small and marginal farmers cannot earn their livelihood in Singur just by having a small plot of land. They regularly work as labourers anywhere to suppliment their earnings; and their wives work as maids. They will be very happy if TATA stays and they can get a job in the factory or in the hotels which are coming up. If TATA leaves, these poor people will be badly affected for years. Their lands are already covered with concrete; it cannot be used for rice cultivation immediately. These poor people will be ruined.

what is core of success for india.
by manoj on Sep 01, 2008 06:45 AM  Permalink

The biggest Word of inspiration for indian would be 3 word. To be good consumer, spread job skills to masses and build best bizness climate i.e. infrastructure.
Everything else is imaginary and just talks. If u see the poverty of india and richness of rich nation like europe, usa, japan. U will realise that this 3 mantra. Their citizen took this 3 in their heart and rest is history. In india forget about taking it to heart people start immediately arguing with me how wrong i am. well if not today, may be in next 20 years u will realise what i m saying should have been the biggest mantra for indians.
we are already using english & computer to conquer the material world, now just need to keep growing at faster rate so that enough jobs are created every year, thats all our focus should be.
