RE:I, ME, MYSELF - Ratan Tata

In what context it is said is important. He just want to protect his employees and thats what he meant and we understood. His statement will definitely help boost the moral of all the TATA employees all across the TATA empire due to the care and concern shown by Ratan Tata. This hightened moral will certainly be beneficial to TATAs.

Gentleman, probably you are not aware that TATA is not a process driven organisation but it is a personality driven organisation. that is why you see different aspect of management with change in top leader ship between JRD,Russy Mody, sumant mulgaonkar and Ratan tata both at tata motors and tata steel. with Ratan tata taking over the reins it has become more aggresive and visible globally. There is nothing wrong in it he is at least careful about its employees whether he says my employees or our employees. however this is true that with such growth and mergers the organisation needs to be more process and culture driven not personality driven.

mr kabeer, as a chairman of tata group, he has every right to say "my employees" and like the great man he is , he has put the employees before the investment , and not like others who wud protect their investment and not employees. we must appreciate this gesture. it is the misfortune of bengal that after such a long time there was someone who had the courage to invest in that state. it is the political leadership that has to protect his investment and gv him confidence that the people of the state will back him. leaders like mamta will like their pound of flesh in political upmanship without interest of the state at heart. i sincerely pray that the matter is solved at the earliest.

I entirely agree with you. Bengali themselves do not want any industrialisation in their state. If they seriously wanted industrial growth in W. Bengal they would not have voted for Communist party for such a long period. People there noteven tried other parties. They are very much content with the communists who are more destructive than constructive. Who are more inclined towards critisising others rather than creating any thin worth while.

what i dont understand is why would u want to do a project in a commie state... this is beyond my understanding... well now tatas have to pay for it..and the ppl working for them...

West Bengal is not a commie state anymore. It's ruled by a party who are commie just by name. But there policies are not commie like. The first proof is - they still allow Mamata Banerjee to move freely in West Bengal - knowing that she is an anti-national element. It's Mamata herself who is ultra-commie in West Bengal. But don't worry she will be able to stop the progress of Bengal as she will be in the opposition bench perpetually.

Tata is not fooling with ur money, no one forced u to buy Tata products, i think ppl like u r better off buying American made goods, go ahead, feed the imperialists; Tata needn't worry, there will always be sensible and somewhat patriotic people to buy Made and designed in India stuff
Since am also working in automotive domin, here i would like to tell something.. In India we have some key players in 4 wheeler market, Namely Maruti suzuki,Hyundai,GM,Ford,Mahindra and mahindra and TATA.. and upcoming players VW and Renault.. It is very big challenge to a company to take a risk and challenge global player and show, In India we can produce car of price one Lac.. Its required strong support from the top managemnet.. In that case Dr.Ratan TATA thrown a challenge to the world and achieved it.. Now because of our bad politics it is getting delayed!! But we should be proud, because We have made other countries to look Indian automotive market, after the NANO showcase.. My sincere hats of to TATA..

Hey Varun,
Politicians are there in every part of the world where there is a democracy; where there is no democracy, there are dictators who are even worse.
By the way, before Industialists corruption (over/under invoicing, excise duty evasion, income tax evasion, customs duty evasion, swiss bank investments) politicains corruption is chicken feed.
Every second Merc you see on Indian roads is bought with unaccounted money.
Dont be so harsh with politicians; they are ugly but they have some soft corner for the poor of the nation.

Mamta Banrjee ko koi na koi support kar raha hai taki nano der se market mein aaye
It started with Salim group of Indonesia and Bengal government plan for large aquisition for many projects. Tata interest or love for Bengal was not understood. Suicide Maharastra farmers were to offer their land when Bengal position was known. Was it due to some secret deal?
The statement given by our beloved Ratan tata is 300% true and he should bring his project to hids own place of the founder Sir jamshetji naswaran ji TATA.s Jamshedpur.
