by kamal on Apr 21, 2006 11:45 AM  Permalink

Psycho Act
by Varunan on Apr 21, 2006 11:31 AM  Permalink

Moral Policing is like invading others privacy... It can be considered in terms of harassment of victims in public. Does Kissing in a public place is going to affect indian economy ? Rather than concentrating on these issues it would be better to cut down on corruptions. Moroever the government is showing themselves as guardian to this society. Its a mere " Show off Act " by the concerned people. They want to be always in news. Moral policing is a Psycho act.

Moral values or dictatorship?
by GP on Apr 21, 2006 10:56 AM  Permalink

I think we are yet to understand the line between democracy and dictatorship.. Come-on Moral police.. If u care so much about our country, iradicate corruption, poverty and educate people.. There are a lot more problems here than the youth kissing. Let us grow as A COUNTRY.

Such restrictions will only frustrate the young generation forcing them to leave the country and go else where where they find more freedom. I don't say the indecent behaviour is freedom.. We ought to learn behaving decetly in public but please, let the generation WAKE-UP on its own.. You can't preach the whole world. Time makes everyone matured.

You may prevent people from kissing outside but you can't stop them. In turn, they will find a place in hotels, lodges and private rooms..Would that be decency? How will you stop that?

Where is the problem..?I mean how can anyone stop you or regulate the flow of emotions. The person who has to kiss will not see Rs.500 or 50.A kiss is as much an emotion as laughing or crying.Let it flow freely.

Not too far
by Anand Chintalavadi on Apr 21, 2006 10:38 AM  Permalink

While its nasty to get 'caught' by the police if you displaying affection to your dear one, its important for the police to watch out for couples who get too hot. While you and I may not carry beyond a passionate kiss, there have been several rape cases.

But I appeal to the police that they should exercise their jurisprudence while dealing with couples. If a couple is gettin hot, a stern warning from the police should be the first step.

to kiss or not to kiss
by lalita on Apr 21, 2006 09:57 AM  Permalink

well.. its not the question of whether kissing is eastern or western.. why dont the moral masters do something of "rape" that is happening on streets so often that the we hav become so insensitive to such news when it appears in news... why dont these moral masters do something abt teacher raping students.. policemen raping innocent victims.. let these moral masters do something useful for society rather than rave and rant abt kissing or celebrating valentine's day

To Kiss or not to
by Jay on Apr 21, 2006 09:06 AM  Permalink

It was very funny to read some messages,to increase the fine etc. India is a country where showing emotions is taboo. Wake up india this is 21 century. But kissing in public places should be a strict no-no coz public means all the age groups and we do not want to encourage chldren to do this kind of things..But one solution could be places (parks, tourist places)where in above 18 should be allowed.U cant stop these things not happen when u r exposed to the western culture.yeh u can try to control. As simple as that.
