Indian team knew it was a max 29 overs game, but their total was just not enough. We have seen teams score more than 200 in 20 overs in T20. Once the teams know its a shortened match the entire strategy changes. Indian batsmen seemed too cautious and were still in the 50 over mode. Anything less than 225 was gettable by SL. So, Dhoni has no reason to moan. They were outplayed by SL. He better think of the strategy when the overs are reduced.

Udhappa was not given a chance to go after Lankans once gambhir got out. It would have been a different story had Udhappa succeeded.
Dear Dhoni, the required RR increased when target was revised. 195/29 = 6.724 154/21 = 7.333 (revised target) Why are you making stupid comments like BCCI committee.

But scoring 7.3 with 10 wickts in 21 is very easy comapared to 6.7 in 29 overs . so u dont make stupid comments

Dear, chasing a target at 6.74 for 29 overs is all together different...reducing overs did help sri lanka as they had to mantain a bit heigher run rate for fewer overs.... T20 approach is very diff from ODI... although sri lanka did bat very well to reach the target..
If Ajit agarkar had bowled 2 overs for 234 runs, the whole rediff board would have been full of abuse and insults flying thick and fast......
But why is Shanta Sreesanth being spared the abuse?? after all, it was his 2 disastrous overs that cost us the match....154 in 21 overs, was otherwise, quite tough!!

Gambhir, Rohit,Joginder, Yuvraj, Ishant and RP all have one thing in common. The Helping Hand of Dhoni. Out of these, Rohit, Ishant and RP are good and deserve to be in the Team but Yuvraj in ODI and Joginder in T20 have been given undue importance by Dhoni.
Just look at Yuvraj, he has scored at total of 30 runs in a total of 7 innings in Australia which includes Tests and ODIs, which makes an average of less than 5 per inning.
Dinesh Karthik and Badrinath did not get the same kind of support from Dhoni.Also, Uthappa who used to come in at 5 or 6, comes lower than even Dhoni, now.
Please answer, Mr.Dhoni. Are you an Indian Captain or a North Indian Captain?
