Only 36% voted in this assembly election. Out of which more than 16% will WIN Will this prove that voters are favouring the Government ? Does 16% is said to be MAJORITY of voters ??? It is a height of insulting constitution of democratic India. People can enjoy the holiday but cant go for voting....

It should be made accountable and make it compulsory to cast the vote in each and every election, unless and until it is very genuine

If all Indians start going to the polling booths, candidates will cease to be shady.
First, let us clean our own houses, and then talk of others.

That is why they have given Shiv Sena 55 seats whereas the fact is that Shiva Sena will see its waterloo in this election and will not win more than 30 seats and most of its candidates will forefeit their deposits.

K.Mohanan, you fasten your lungi otherwise the same will slipped when election results will be declared.
The population of Haryana, according to the 2001 census, is 21,144,000, with 11,364,000 males and 9,781,000 females. The population density is 477 people/km2. Haryana, along with neighboring Punjab, has a skewed sex ratio at 861, with many more men than women. Selective abortion of female fetuses has a very high provenance, reflecting a widespread preference for the male child.
Hindus make up about 12,655,925 of the population, Sikhs 9,170,662, Muslims 1,222,196 (5.78%), Jains 57,167, Christians 27,185, and Buddhists 7,140.[10] Muslims are mainly in the Mewat district, while Sikhs are mostly in the districts adjoining Punjab, Hisar and Jind. Agriculture and related industries have been the backbone of the local economy. These days the state is seeing a massive influx of immigrants from across the nation, primarily from Bihar, Bengal, Uttrakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Nepal.
Political leaders have fialed us. Now its time for all of us to rise. Vivkeananda said india needs 100 passionate, strong leaders. And they will change india. I think all of us needs to be leaders. Leadership is not a position or set of skills. But how much we are all committed to make our life somple, easy and remove chaose from street. We all educated people should take up leadership role and inspire and motivate others to do the same. Thats only way we can grow and create great society. This election and neta are useless, waste of time. They will keep sleeping.

yeah u r right i m wid u whenever u need me i'll be there y dont we people change our india nd y dont we will become a superpower only becoz of corruption we the ppl of india is a most coward fellow we just thinks, thought n forget we have 2 act.
Most of the bollywood folks ( who are "secular") will vote for Congress or NCP candidates in all likelihood. So how is it called voting for change? They are voting for the same parties that have done nothng for Maharashta - neither improved the power situation, nor provided better irrigation facility, nor improved infrastructure, nor provided security to citizens proactively. So they are not voting for change. Maybe ...it should read as - for a change, they are coming out and voting.

Once Maharashtra is out of India, do ui think rest of non-hindi states will continue to be part of India?
India will disintegrate if Maharashtra is out. Taamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra, Punjab will also separate out.
Hindi will then bacome only Bhaiyyaland, worst than any other African country!!!

no voting cannot be made compulsory ... not voting is a form of expressing your reluctance to pick any candidate

If voting percentage is so low, what one should think ? Are Maharashtrians happy with the Government ? Marathi Manoos and Maharashtrians have lost faith in over all Constituency of India due to poor performance of politicians of every party.

Let Kongi be on power or Shivsena-BJP or MNS... It will not make any difference for Maharashtrians.. That what present poor percentage of voting shows.
