by Short Seller on Feb 09, 2012 03:40 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

now that nifty is in green, i can put another growth story of one of it's state Andhra Pradesh, it has been 65 yrs since independence. if we divide it into till 1990(40 years) and after 1990(20 years). the debt of the state was 10000 crores till 1990. between 1990 and 2003 which is another 12 yrs time, the debt became 60000 crores. so we spent 5 times 40yrs money in 12 yrs.

Our West Bengal has a debt of 200000 cores. Previous left government in WB made such debt. So do not worry AP is better. I came to know Maharashtra has maximum debt.

Prabir , i was coming to WB, you beat me to it. 80% planned expenditure, even if govt want to do something they can not do anything. because they can float as long as there is someone to give them loan.

we did not have money to pay for the old loans we have taken, so we made NRI deposits interest to 9% from 4%, we are paying previous loans with new loans, just like Greece every country will eventually need to pay during which time the reverse process will happen. expansion will be replaced with contraction.
