I want to ask two question to the producer of the filim and the hero 1. Did Periar had the guts to oppose the religious superstitions in other religions. 2. They were against only the Hindu God or the Gods of other religions also? I know both cannot give stright answer to these question. I respect all religions and the superstitions should be left to the inviduals

Periyar's way of protesting against hindusim was shameful and it was in uncivilised manner. However worth, Periyar's thoughts, he was valued by his hardline/violent provoking actions.
Even today , large people remembered him as a person who put chappels/shoes to Vinayagar statue and what a wonder!, today people repeated the act to him ...

Anbuchezhian, Periyar applied the british idea of 'race', as the Jewish 'race', and created a political movement where Brahmins were worse than Jews. Some tamils objected, but they were under the rule of british for a long time, so periyars racism became synonomous with exclusive tamil. Naikar was an oppurtinist.

God is not Hindu - religion based. If you say that there is no God and that is the basis for the existence of your Kazhagam, you should have stood in front of Santhome Church and Triplicane mosque and protested. Instead, you chose only the Kanchi Mutt and Srirangam temple for exhibiting your cowardice. In Ramasamy Naicker's own words - it is all Vengaayam (onion). EVRN said that Tamil is a barbaric language, all Tamilians are fools and he pleaded with the British to continue with British rule for the Madras Presidency alone. Is this the way he tried to fight for upliftment of Tamils? Nearly 100 years after the injustice party was founded by EVRN and 40 years of rule in TN by his closest followers, the really poor, unlettered Tamilian continues to rot in his thatched shed hut. It is only the likes of Anbuchezhiyan who have used EVRN's slander against Brahmins to gain ascendancy in society and not through hard work and intelligence. And by opposing creamy layer in reservation and supporting reservation per se, they want to keep the poor among the OBCs as poor and continue to perpetuate casteism. Amen!

Sir - his followers garlanded HIndi gods with chappels and beat them with chappels!! Would they have the guts to do that with other religions?
