Sure, he is a principled guy. Is that the reason he married at a very old age to a woman who was young enough to be his daughter. Offshoots of his party are using caste to survive in TN.

why not personal life is a good indication of his way of thinking isnt it ? Why would any old guy marry a younger girl ?

There is a proverb in Tamil. Nadhi moolam, Rishi moolam paarka koodaathu. Meaning, we should not back-trail to the source of a Rishi or River [ because it won't ammuse ur imagination ]
