Being affluent, Periyar had access to all the important leaders and lot of followers in the society. Bootlicking is proven around affluent people. Two of the most important questions to be answered are
1.) was it his ego that triggered him voicing against so called castism? 2.) would he have done the same, if he was born an hindu.

Of course, it was his ego which triggered his "voice against casteism". The same ego drives the communists too - they are simple in their habits but not in their minds-"wht I know alone is the truth" is their attitude. That is why our country will never deliver justice to all.
