Periyar

Every leader of his time has his own thoughts and imposes on people. The caste system is the lynchpin of democracy today around which the political parties of all hues capitalize.

For their own survival, the leaders have to pursue a pet idea, of which common man is ignorant. Ignorance of the common man is the bliss of politicians or leaders.

Caste system is the main political plank in today`s politics. The leades have to approach masses for votes without any caste issue and see what happens.

In Tamil Nadu, a leader said couple of months ago that he would see to it that Tamil is introduced as the medium of instruction in all schools. Common man does not think as to who will be the victim of this kind of policy. The realization will come 20 years later, just as we see in China where one-child policy announced years ago is going to be a great disadvanatage for the country.

Religion was not created by God. Let the leaders show a reference that God is responsible for it.

Gandhi was responsible for India`s freedom. We know little of Gandhi and we talk of him based on our limited knowledge. He was a charismatic leader. How? Reading couple of books or listening from one or two sources is a not a research.

Do you know of Napolean Hill? His reserach spanned 25 years to complete a book, which is being followed scrupulously even today by many Americans.

If we have to uderstand a leader or politician properly , we have to do thourough research on him.

on what basis u r saying that one child policy of china is a great disadvantage for the country. without this the chinese population would have increased much. one child policy should be followed all over the world, including in india. if we do not control our population, it will creat havoc. our air and rivers are already polluted and it will increase with increase in population.

secondly simple living should be encouraged to save the environment.
