I thought Periyar was a great Tamil leader and reformer. What this guy portrays about him, is as if he must be some really distorted mind. As far as brahmanism and reading texts is concerned, everyone can see the condition when foolishness is bliss. During Periyar's time maybe only brahmins were fools to be arrogant, now entire society has become foolish. He fought for allowing equal share of knowledge and now that that right is achieved, nobody understands or recites a word of shastras. The original knowledge is lost and society has fallen with the fall of brahmanism. What a way to go in the name of social equality.
