Recession, Corruption, Budget
by AT Ramaanuj on Feb 20, 2010 03:04 PM   Permalink

As stated recession is over, is not correct. Worst recession has not yet hit India. The worst is behind us is absolutely correct. The worst is going to happen. Each state is affected very badly like maoist problem, telangana issue, terrorism etc etc.
Corruption is gaining momentum - every body wants money. All those who advocate stringent action to control corrution cannot happen. In our country when there is no punishment for murder what after all corruption takes place. There are many instances where when the raids were published in the papers the concerned officials have come back to work within six months. These officials are Reserved candidates in service or belong to minority. The OC candidates are the real sufferers. Corruption has to attain its peak then only people can find a solution to the menace. Govt cannot and will not find any solution because if coruuption is not there Govt will not be there.
The recent price rise of cereals, pulses, vegitables, sugar is an ample proof of existence of corruption. The effect of recession is clearly seen in the infra sector as there are no takers for new housing even at drastically reduced prices.
BUDGET:- Govt has not done anything in the last 20 years in the Budget except Income Tax, Sales Tax, Excise in a minimum way. Because petrol and Diesel prices automatically control the economy. The Govt has to put its mind in making the Law i.e., IT, ST, EXCISE, etc easier than the present complicated ones.
