Government must withdraw 6th pay commission hike to its employees except defence forces as mandi is going worst and every where in private sector either lay off or salary cut than why govt. employees should get more money for doing hardly any work

First of all update ur knowledge on an issue & then speak on it. Reasons why govt. employees must get a decent hike: 1) Govt. employees are getting pay revision after 10yrs only. So pay now decided would be for next 10 yrs. 2) pay revision is pending since 1 jan, 2007. So market was really booming at that time & ur so called "mandi" i.e. recession has hit only now. 3) as far as hard work or that is concerned , you first go to any professional govt. company like Indian Oil, ONGC etc. the u will c under what conditions they are working
Now everyone is free to decide upon the matter.....!!!!!

Qualityis a relative term. I will grade work done by so called indian IT companies as rubbish given the money they are paid. Infact there quality is so bad that client's project is being royally screwed most of the time.

when this was little bit different two months ago i.e., private sector salary was higher than govt. employees. I think they never complained for any cut or hike. Let them also enjoy their life..

Let the pay remain the same yaar, bring in the accountability for every staff right from CJI, PM, Governor with time frames for every job. Even RTI started providing irrepsonsible answers stating that they're unable to provide information. Whether 250 per day fine is imposed or not - God knows & even if imposed don't know who's pocket it flows into

In addition to this, how about hire & fire? OR Promotions and/increments on merit ? Length of service not withstanding.

All Govt. Dept are curropted, without under table things are not moving. If they claim that they are eligible for 6th Pay they should prove it. All work needs to be mapped in timeframe / SLA. All Govt. babus are enjoing the benefits of 6th pay irresp. to their capabilities. In private cos. your increment is totally depends on your caliber.

Increase pay only for those who sign a document agreeing for SLA's. Add fine clauses for breaching SLA's.
Rest of them, who do not bother about work, let them take the same salary until they retire.
After all one needs to understand that even in Govt. there are people who wants to work with enthu. But there is no incentive for doing the same.
