why this craze for western awards ....we always find recognition for their awards be it oscars or nobel or others .....what is their worth ....the best of consultants lehman bros tells firms how to survive and prosper ....why didnt they do it themselves ...think out of the horizon ..the whole western system is flawed ..devise something new .....

True, but on the other hand many Nobel prize scientists (not economics or peace)have discovered / invented things that are worth mentioning. Oscar winners do nothing for the world, worse still, our actors give themselves prizes in cerimonies costing crores of rupees abroad. Why not spend this IN India instead og giveing it away to places that are already rich?
