We need a leader who unites...
by passing on Apr 28, 2009 08:42 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Like what obama did, we need someone to bring home the perpective of change, a hope, and lighting at the end of the tunnel..who can unite India as an Indian.

Right now people are fooled at all levels by politicians by using caste, religion, region and what not..we need to have a person who can stand above ground and say that under me we will work togather as India and will become an Indian. We were reaching the state where we were gettng united finally but then:
1. Mandal happened, dividing people on caste
2. Babari Masjid Demolition: Dividing people on religion
3. Fundamentalism: Dividing people on how much you can force someone to behave in some particular manner...

In this all, what was killed was our identity as Indian. We started to behave as an state, as a community, as a individual, but seized to be an Indian.

We need to get a United India movement in our thoughts, our committment and our action. We have relearn that Divided we fall, United we stand. We need to undo the teachings of our past and get back to fundamentals of living together.

We need to promote:
1. United India
2. Clean India
3. Prosporus India
4. Progressive India
5. Educated India
6. Well behaved India
7. One and only One India..

passing,

Nobody is perfect. But find something closer. That's the best bet we have. Nationalism is what you are takling about in essence.

You said Babri Masjid demolition divided people (Yes I am a BJP fan now)... Is there any country in the whole world where icons slavery is still maintained as sacred places? NO it is only in India, where we worship these icons of slavery like Babri Masjid or Taj Mahal etc..

Silam invaded India and British invaded India and we still worship them and then you want to build a one nation???

First of all we need an identity. Solution is Nationalism. BJP is probably only party in India is talking about nationalism.

India is not secular and can not be secular. First of all we need to throw away that dream.

What he did was give hope..now on ground you can change everything overnight, but atleast you can try to change it. What we are lacking is the will of the political class to change for good..they are more than willing to change for bad and for their personal gain, but they don't want to speak anything about being united.

Obama is yet to prove. "Change" was just a slogan he used. Shaking hands with Chaves etc are not change, but foolery...

I was a big fan of Obama, but he is going hopeless for this country..but there is still a hope..

His rating is less than what Bush had after 100 days...
