The ignorance on subject of discussion is not only with the journalists, but, very unfortunately, with more than 70% of parlamentarians. I have seen an empty parliament when there are discussions on serious subjects like Patent law and such ones. A few were just sitting and warming the bench and some in saffron dress were chanting mantras! Fate of Indian democracy...

There are fanatics in every group... every religion... every school of thought.... None of them are my role models...

Even I dont like saffron clothes and big red tilaks on politicians. But I equally hate associating all religious fanaticism with saffronites only.

I presented some genuine concerns in our system. Not to have any communal thoughts. Absolutely not... But we do not need swamis or mullas or padris in Indian parliament. Parliament itself is holy place for democracy and good political leaders are the poojaris. Religion, religious opinion and fanatism should stay with ones on mind and do not mix it up with politics.

Let me put 100 to 150. MPs should be specialized in their knowledge. Some of them should have in-depth knowledge in science, some in economics, law, social aspects... all should form a team. Remember, a good ruling party and a lively opposition party constitues a vibrant democracy.
