Let us not blame the politicians for our rot
by R on Apr 29, 2009 12:44 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Let us not blame the politicians. We Indians are to blame for our rot. We donot evaluate the parties, their performance, their agenda before we vote. Instead, we vote based on their caste, religion, region. This reduces their accoutability. So, they do not perform. Finally, we end up loosing.

This is all because of un-educated masses. Just look at the western countries where the politicians are chosen after much debate and are held accountable.

We Indians are mostly illiterate. We make mess of everything. We make our streets dirty. We do not follow traffic rules. We are impatient, restless, fighting over petty things. We lack team spirit. We do not deserve right to vote. We have messed up democracy. Actually, most of us do not deserve to live. I wonder what made Britishers to come to India to rule this crowd.

In Monarch, it is yada raja yada praja.
In democracy, it is yada praja yada raja

Boss, it's not you and me, the educated mass that decides the fate of these politicians. It's the uneducated poor people residing in the villages who decide it. These f*k*ng politicians give money (read all the news about it), distribute ration (foodgrains) and free blankets, medicine etc. to get the votes. Needless to say whichever party is in power, makes the maximum use of the power to reach the poor and distribute the stuff. To avoid this, people like you and me should take pains to educate the poor, generate funds to help them establish themselves either through vocational courses or through setting up small industries like poultry, handicrafts etc. The politicians will never do it for they know if the majority of India become educated, self-sufficient and start prospering, they will never vote these buffoons into power.

Till then, the National Election will renmain the Joker Election.

You r quite right. most of the uneducated mass vote on emotion. no analysis .Its always easier for netas to emotionally sway and fill voters with hatred. this is particularly true of congress and RJD they want their voters to be uneducated and remain there only. U can see their choice of constituencies Rae Bareli Madhepura etc Congress is the most Feudal party they have different set of rules, one for ruling elite and other for the classes.See their children would study at oxford and cambridge will have Firang girlfriends whereas they would want their electorate to go to Charwaha school All this is managed by their huge stock of black money.Once in a while they would do lipservice tokenism But the voters have awaken ;spending a day at a dalit basti wont do their real intentions will be proven if they marry a dalit girl

As long as there is somebody getting fooled, these politicians go on fooling us. In India, our total democratic system & legal system has to be changed. I still remember, Nani Palkhiwala, saying in his Annual Budget discussions,in Bangalore, after every Annual Budget, that if one has to survive as a criminal, he should be in India. Such is the legal system in our country. First of all,The law of the country should be strict enough, for the citizens to abide by it. That's the reason, why the American & European & Gulf countries are much ahead in this regard, since its citizens are law-abiding & law-deriding as in India. Already there is no strict law to tackle terrorism & criminals but I am really saddened to see criminals/ terrorists who are already sentenced to death by Supreme Court are still enjoying life. Such is the law in India. Truly, it takes somebody with iron guts to change the whole system in India & focus on nation's development.
Finally, I don't understand why 'R' is using this Sanskrit saying in the end. First of all, the context is not right & the way it is said is also not right. It is "Yatha raja Thatha Praja" meaning 'how the citizens will live depends on how is the king. In democracy, there is no king, all are equal citizens
