Local issues dominate national issues because people don't care for national issues.Marathis care for Marathis, Punjabis care for Punjabis and may I dare say for Pakistanis, Bengali for Bengalis, Southie for southies.Great going India. But only fools will be surprised. One question that we need to ask is Why after being united twice under Maurya and Gupta empire India broke apart. That's why it's said that History often repeats itself and the reason is people as a group seldom change.

Katloo Pathan, Speak only for Yourself. Before U say Punjabis care for Pakistanis...maybe we do to a small extent on Humanatarian grounds only..Punjabis loyaly lies with India....you can bet on one thing Punjabis (In Indian Punjab) are patriots Number 1...When Pak fires a bullet the first to block the bullet from piercing the heart of India is literally Punjab....If your own loyalties lie acrross the border with Pakistan than you are welcome to comfortable life under Taliban.

Khalistan movement happened after 1972.All the wars can be attributed to post-partition hatred towards Pakis. But all that have changed as old generation who suffered at the hands of moslems have died.New generation is in love with porkis and that's why u have khalistan.
