RE:Periyar was anti-Brahmin not anti-Brahminism
by Rangasamy Vijay on Apr 30, 2007 10:52 AM

I am sure with changing times any remaining caste based discrimination should vanish. Periyar was a man of contradictions though appreciated in some ways for supporting women's rights. His followers especially these the two dravidan parties are trying to project him for their own selfish needs. His own party (do not know how many members are there ??) is busy living on his fortune. All these idiots do not undertsnd that education staring from basic level is essential to uplift a society and not by diluting merits in a higher institutions in the name of social justice.
They can not tolerate brahmins/ FC scoring on merits and know that FC will strip them pants down in any competitive field where merit is teh only criteria.
