The IAS officer was wrong in his conviction. Periyar and his ilk including the present DMK are dead against brahmins who they considered and continue to consider as people of aryan race and hence taboo. Periyar politics has only sown seeds of communalism in the country. DMK &ADMK are the direct descendants of Periyar and his barbaric policies.
